man…MM was NEVER op. just people made the same idiotic mistakes people make when fighting turret engis.

Cough -All I play is MM- I’m just goofing around. I love MM. In fact, it has taken some low blows that really kitten me off, like them dying when you go down for some reason. And not attacking. And taking long paths. Doesn’t matter though. It’ll always be OP in my heart <3 So many tears.

Nope. I’ve tried to explain it logically to many people:
- Pets have no Condi clear, and die fast from them.
- Don’t avoid AOE even if you dodge.
- Are stupid, bad pathing, bad attack sequencing.
- MMs have the worst anti-CC (no breaks, stability, extra evades, etc)
- No mobility
- Are essentially traitless necros without pets.
- Now pets die on down, and we’re a relatively easy focus target.
- Our team play is already trash because of aoe spam.
- Moa kills all pets.
- It provides a more interesting playstyle, which is just the opposite of most classes. Instead of relying on boons and other passive defenses and active burst, we have relatively (about 50%) passive damage and have to focus on keeping pets alive, CCing the enemy for our own safty, and avoiding deadly CCs while assisting on damage between those.
Doesn’t matter. Tears or not though, and all the poor functioning and lack of sympathy from others and the devs, don’t care. I still love my MM.
Do wish they’d get the turret treatment though and make them immune to conditions. That’d be sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

I’m all for more Minion Masters and less Turret Engis, to be honest. Both are braindead to the bone though.
With Ele nerfed, I think the new “top of the charts” build is Cele Rifle Engi. And don’t underestimate the new Rangers’ Torch buff: it can now cover the whole point, and with Bark Skin+Survival Of the Fittest it would prove a spec very difficult to kill, with a lot of Control due to lots of AoE Immobilizes and condi pressure.
After the might and engi/ele nerfs.

Nothing changed. I don’t think Anet is wanting to make big balance changes because HoT is going to be released soon enough and that in itself should mean some big balance changes from new specializations and whatnot.
No changes in class ranks in terms of pvp effectiveness. Cele and might stacking classes are a bit less effective now and the gap between them and other specs is lowered but other than that no changes.
When I think OP, I think of risk/reward on classes and in that aspect turreteers are still king.

Given that HoT seems to be a direct continuation after the season 2 finale, I think you’re wrong. This seems planned to me. They didn’t announce it just because of Pax.
They are having a playable demo in 6 weeks and they have emphasized in interviews that things will be developing quickly. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see it released in 3-4 months. And we should be getting information on it “soon”.
