how would you guys feel about 10v10 battlegrounds not conquest just straight 10 v 10 pvp games granted i know theres hotjoin but i mean if it was a unranked 10v10 team death match would any of you like that ??

Deathmatch 10v10 in my opinion would Force even more tanky spec. I would prefere something like capture the flag, where mobility and dps could be more relevant.

yeah capture the flah would be nice.. i just want pvp to have more than what is has now like 1v1 3v3 10v10 capture the flag stuff like that i guess

for a 10v10 to work w/o feeling like a zerg fest the map need to be really huge. like gw1 map huge.

we already had 10vs10 in pvp after gw2 release …. results into total chaotic matches with the best zerg wins …..
many ppl complained about that , thats reason why anet limit player in matches to 5
and also, simple deathmathes are boring because the best zerg vs1 wins …. do you realy want to get ganked by 10 ppl smashing ccs at you …. rly

Actually you couldn’t be further from the truth. WvW has been doing these death matches like this for years, and each group keeps trying to run as glassy as they possibly can get away with while retaining survivability.

Also since the summer of the spring of 2013 these type of death matches have included a gank type squad made of pretty much zerker classes. Their goal is to kill the squishy/support classes of the other team.

10v10 also is IMHO the sweet spot for these type of death matches b/c you don’t have as much commotion on the screen compared to the 15’s or 20’s. It also has the distinct advantage of teams not being able to hide low skill players inside their groups.

Here’s a 10v10 i found just by googling it:

Are you really saying me that in 10v10 everyone was builded glassy while you post a video of a 20k hp Ele that was or full celestial or a combination of soldier gears + some berserker trinkets?

More bigger is the fight= more damage around= more tanky you have to build.
If not you just get melt in a second because AoEs.

If they add 10v10 arena in pvp in a Comp of 10 people maybe 2 or max 3 of them would go marauder/paladin as backline.

You run as glassy as you can is what I said. And yes he had 19k HPS, but how much was from WvW bonus? That’s generally 1-2k more HPS. Puts him around 17k HPs on an ele, and during that time period (July 2014) ele’s commonly ran that high HPs while retaining great damage in WvW.

As for the 10v10 Comp. That depends on the group on what they want to run. 3 players wearing marauder’s is 30% of the composition. That leaves only 7 spots and all 7 aren’t going to be running tanky as can be. Hell look at PvP lately….100% tanky in some seasons…

If you really want to dedicate yourself to 10 v 10 you can always create a guild that focus on that in the guilded hollow. You can create a community around that, just like 1v1 is a thing in custom arena.

Don’t wait for the devs to do it when we have tools ( to a certain extent ) to do it. It’s not that expensive if you get people in, it’s just about advertising correctly.

I mean even asura ball is a thing guys !

How many hours to take to get a guild hall upgraded enough to have an arena?

Also the players have carried that game mode for 3 years now. Time for Anet to do thier part
