Hey all,

Thought I’d throw out a topic in this form related to competitive gaming since a lot of these monitor manufacturers are targeting us as their audience while releasing these 3D capable monitors with 120Hz refresh rates. I guess things feel smoother.

Anyone use one in tPvP? Have any thoughts?

It seems that there is some sort of shortage of these things right now, too, as I can only consistently find Asus and BenQ ones for sale on multiple sites, and many have them out of stock or some such. I was able to find some good deals on international sites i.e. Canada, UK but am wondering if I should just wait until more of these hit the market.

See if you can find one of those catleap 120hz 2560×1440 ips monitors lol, costs about the same price . I personally chose 76hz Ips monitors since I play with nvidia surround and don’t really play fps. The Increased refresh rate is noticeable not to mention the amazing colors are great to play mmos and stuff on. also has passive 3d which you can use with nvidia 3dvision (gw2 included) with a simple edid override. Plus you can’t forget that to really take advantage of a 120hz monitor you have to be able to push 100+fps, which you may want to reconsider for games like GW2

Asus vg236h is my recommendation if you want true 120hz and 3D at that size and price range. Has good colors for being a TN
