15th May PvP daily reward
It’s in the patch notes:
- Reverted a change to PvP dailies that increased their difficulty.
My guess is that a lot of people complained about it. The only problem I had with the new daily was the capture points portion, which encouraged bad play.
With the extended Daily PvP reward, it took players to play around 3 matches actively to get all the kills/capping/top stats achievements, then they played one last match to just be there. And so the number of players that don’t actively participate in the match (stay near the spawn and move every few minutes, doing other things not in game) was significantly reduced.
Now again everyone just plays one match actively and then sits at the spawn to get the daily. To be honest, why would they play more than one match, if they don’t get rewarded for active play, but for sitting there?
I wonder what other moves will Anet do to decrease the quality of sPvP. If it’s even possible to do so any further.
The bigger difference is that the longer PvP daily took a lot more time and active play to complete. It was no longer an easy alternative to the PvE daily for a laurel, so the people looking for an easy laurel didn’t hop into sPvP. With the easy daily back, they’re doing that again instead of the PvE one.
I liked the new daily PvP.
I liked the new daily pvp, but it was a bit too much. Meanwhile, the older one is way too easy. It’d say we should get a middle-term in the future. Capture points can remain at 3 max (or up to 5), map/ matches should be 3 at most, and a single tournament win instead of 2.
replace capture point with skirmisher or defender
They probably saw the pvp numbers go down because of the increased difficulty in the pvp daily. I was doing the easy pvp daily before the change but with the increased difficulty it felt more like a chore to get it done so I stopped doing them. I like that they changed it back to the easier pvp daily.
Im fine with it either way. I guess this way I do less work for the laurel…so no reason to complain
Well I think that pve daily crab toss champion is too hard, because you have 1/8 chance everytime you play, and often times someone really good at it will be there all those games making it impossible.
But you don’t see them making PvE dailies easier, matter fact you use to have to kill like 20 things now they made it harder by 13 different things and 40 things.
But you know how it is, PvE rules over PvP, they have to make it so PvE takes a lot of time for PvP’ers and PvP dailies are obtainable very quickly, kill 5 people cap 3 caps, rez someone for top stat, win the game, then leave find a game that’s almost over, join the winning team, leave find another game that’s almost over join the winning team and leave, done. Back to PvE.
It takes longer to do a PvE fotm daily, than it takes to do the entire PvP daily.
