So what we have in this patch is a fix in a way for the profession dailies. What the problem was before, was with two profession specific dailies, was an increased chance for stacked games, leading to many players picking up characters and builds that were unfamiliar. This was a design problem that many were facing and unlike other problems, there was no real work-around for this.

Now what we have, is a set of 4 professions that are needed for a win to complete that PvP daily. So instead of intensely stacked matches, we are going to have a slightly better chance of more even matches.

My problem is, the feedback given here, on these forums, to the forum specialists, said wouldn’t it be better to have randomised dailies per player? Wouldn’t this limit stacked games more? This isn’t a knock on ANET but there was some feedback with easy (? I’m not a programmer anyone can dispute/confirm this?) implementation as they have the means to randomise other dailies, why wasn’t this put in, instead of just adding an extra two professions to choose from?

What do you guys think? Opinions and thoughts are very much welcome

It never was zero? If you mean 4 professions means more variety then sure i get your point. But that still doesn’t answer why they couldn’t have done a simpler solution…

I agree with you. It’s better than before, but it’s still bad. I would much more prefer ‘’Win x matches’‘. Randomized dailies wouldn’t be too bad, but again it would encourage players to play something they’re not familiar with and could be too hard to code.

^^ I’m starting to like you :P
We know that ANET can code randomised PvE and WvW dailies (Although i think there is some kind of scheme to how they are laid out?) so in theory (and also they could randomise the previous prof. dailies) they should be able to code a player specific one. I would be interested to know if that would work in terms of coding

What? It’s not 4 now. It’s still 2. You have 4 options. You can win as either an engineer or elementalist for one win, or you can win as either a ranger or thief for the second win.

You do not have to win as an engineer, an elementalist, a ranger, AND a thief.

To OP: There are no randomized dailies at all in the game. There are some different sets if your account hasn’t reached certain milestones (mostly related to your highest character level), but nothing is random.

Adding a per-player randomized daily would likely be a major undertaking.

Anyway, my own suggestion would be make it earn 1,000 points on [class] instead of having to win. That way, if you win, it’s still done in one match. If you don’t win you can still have it done in 2.
