Why not to add more team in the same match?

If one day we can play deathmacht mode, I wish 5or10 ppl in the same arena they kill each other.
The survivor wins. Pretty easy

I’m not sure about ffa. It will favor classes with lots of evasion amd strong 1v1 capability. (Mesmer, thief) while leaving the classes that build pressure behind. (Necro/engie/ranger/guard/warrior).

working as intended, because … thief !!!

looking at it from another perspective, if the champion is really good, the thief would stand no chance. :p

note: i play a warrior, not a thief. yes i hate stealth and backstabs too.

but for a free for all death match to work, there needs to be health med pack pick ups and other various power ups lying around in order to work.

stuff like the engineer drops.
best player will control the zones that drop these items for themselves for max survivability.

a 20 people free for all death match would be really awesomely chaotic heheh.

needs lots of power ups though.

antidote vials (cure 1 condition)
bandages (heal 1,000 health)
stimulant syringes (11 seconds of fury, swiftness)

maybe introduce new ones too.

shiny armor
- increases armor by 1,000
- extra 1,000 armor is reduced based on damage received

i have the power
- increases power by 1,000
- each successful attack reduces the extra 1,000 power.

big globe of health
- increases health by 10,000
- can go higher than max health
- loses 1 extra health per second

yeah, i miss play good old quake 1 back in 1996.

I don’t think a multiple team, last-man-standing mode would fit this game well.

I have thought that a 3-team deathmatch with respawns might be cool, points being awarded for stomps/last hits. It would really, really emphasize downed state, though, so some people might not like it.

maybe it would be a fun mode for custom arena operators.
unfortunately, the custom arena does not have much customization options.

It will end up the players forming “teams”.
