2-3 man pre-made = lose?
not really.
when i run with 2 other guild members in our 3 man guild team, we talk in team chat, but the other 2 pugs are usually more quiet.
and when we enter queue as a 3 ppl party, we get faster queues, and the opponent team usually does not have a 5 man full party.
well you do it the right way but many don’t
Often the 2-3 man groups are 1 experienced with 2 newer players who are most likely just trying to follow the one guy over voip.
I always talk in team chat if my team is doing something stupid. Otherwise I let the game flow and rely on map pings and target calling. Oh and typing if X number of enemies I’d at a certain point.

There exist some casuals. Serious guys are OK.
Sometimes, we can see 2,3-player premade behaves going far together and killing a lone defender there.
They make their party just for easy kill as if they are ganking a lone quest-runner in open world pvp.
all the more reason to pair them with other premade groups on the same team ..
I suggest you premake a team of 2. You win almost 90% games just from team communication against pugs.
If all 5 pugs are good with their class,, know their role, have good map awareness, then they have a figthing chance. Problem is if they cant read the game, what can happen next, and dont aid in time so the premade can +1.
