With two elite specs that drastically change the way a profession plays, now, more than ever, does having custom build templates become a serious necessity.

Can we at least get a non-official ETA?

Playing marauder dh serves a vastly different role than sage firebrand and if another guard on the team has the same elite that i do, even 1 minute won’t be enough to change everything on time.

I am not 100% sure but I think that during live PoF Annoucenemnt, Anet said they will include build templates with the release.

+ keybind save, if you swap prof.

i think build templates should be a absolute must…and to be honest i cant see why its so hard considering that they already have the tech in place….

the only issue i could understand is that there would be errors with equipping weapons in the builds that may not actually exist in your inventory…

there are 2 ways to easily solve that either have the system just generate a white generic no value weapon for you when the item isnt in your inventory..

OR

simply just have the system not save the weapons and so therefore that would be the only thing the player would have to do is set the weapons up…. this would obviously not be a perfected system but this would be miles better then having to do 100% manually just doesnt make sense to make players do it when 95% of it is just drop down boxes.

The template already create weapons if you don’t have them in the inventory

ive never really tested the system in place now other then when it originally came out…. but that furthers my point that they already have the system in place.

Would have been nice, but I bet they just made it harder for themselves having to now work around multiple weapons on one class that can, or cannot be used with a specific elite spec.

again which is why i suggested earlier that they dont have the system work with weapons and leave that for players to adjust it def would be a incomplete system but id rather have that then nothing at all

If you buy a character slot with the expansion you can have two builds for the same class ready to go…. Wonder why we don’t have savable builds?

I’d even spend Gems to purchase additional build slots….

Imagine if we could have a menu and within it save build AND armor templates. Have all sorts of combinations of gear+builds for all game modes, I mean the QOL change would be nuclear.
