I am sorry Anet, but this isn’t fun anymore… a 50/50 I could accept but this.
And now I begin to doubt my skills as my team usually ended up fighting 4vs2 or 3 at home point almost every match. Some people does not deserve to be in Sapphire division, it feals like the have “cheated” their way there in some way.
I am not good iether but some players are acting like beginners.

I feel your pain. I was in the win-loss cycle for almost 2hrs straight but then me and my friend got mad and started playing with rage and fire in our eyes. Taking no prisoners. Wouldn’t say that’s why we won 3 matches in a row, we could’ve lost but we played better and prayed our team could pick up the rest.
I’ve learned that it’s usually better to get that 3 loss streak for the bonus pip when you’re in one of those cycles. For some reason it usually almost always results in a 2nd consecutive win, and then gives me at least a semi-decent game for the 3rd.
Of course, this won’t really work after you get to Ruby, but still. I started the season like 18-4, I’m 24-18 now. Only thing that’s changed is that my teammates suddenly enjoy fighting off point, afking, losing 3v1’s, and playing deathmatch.
I do enjoy the git gud comments. If this league was governed by individual skill, you would have a point. As it is, you do not. One person can’t carry 4. Anyone who says they can carry 4 bad players is full of it.
I just come off a 10 win streak. This mean I’m going to lose 10 time in a row?
That means you will be smashing you keyboard later on because you’ll get used to winning and suddenly you’ll be matched up with people who vacuum and play pvp in the same time.
I’m about to give up on getting the legendary backpack. I’m in Sapphire and getting people who are queued with legit Ambers. I’ve had players I’ve watched just running around the map aimlessly. I’ve seen people capping empty points together.
My match quality is beyond horrendous. I’ve played less than 20 games and this feels just as bad as unranked.
My experience is likely going to be very similar to this. (I only did three matches yesterday considering I was stuck in the queue for an hour for some reason.)

Yet I have a guild mate who won 21 in a row and lost 5 matches. It was insane. I missed the last two seasons and it is extremely daunting to attempt to fire this up now. For me I’m going to get a group together and at least make the attempt. But I can see and understand the frustration.
I didn’t play S1 or S2 but considering I came from Neverwinter after a 2 year break from GW2 (Not sure why, it’s a great game), I don’t really expect to win even half of my games, but I CAN and that’s what I love about this game. I don’t have to grind for half a year to be able to play PvP, I can jump right in. And that might be a bit of a drawback as well… I played A LOT of pvp back in the early days of GW2 and it’s not too hard to adjust to what’s going on, but since anyone can make a free account and go PvP those of us in Amber kind of get shafted a bit. It’s no more fun to win 500-50 than it is to lose 500-50. Close games are fun, exciting and lets you analyze your own performance and improve, uneven games simply don’t. Either you run over the other team and think of yourself as godlike or you get run over and feel bad thinking you suck.
If they could at least have some sort of class distribution that’d be great, I’m tired of playing every game versus 2x guardian and 2x necro.
Here’s my winstreak. Things are going good so far but people who made legend and Diamond are seeded in Sapphire (hopefully most have gone up to Ruby or higher Sapphire by now) so I’ll likely not be able to keep it up for long but I’ll try. I miss search and rescue but there’s rarely anywhere safe within 600 units.
I’m now 20-11. I love playing teams of 5 with unlimited sustain vs a group of pugs. 5 man teams should only play the same.
The reason I hate the “pip” system, is EVERY time I lose, i lose a pip. 5 man team vs pugs? Take a -1 pip. It’s not a very well designed system as a whole.
I’m by no means God’s gift to PvP, but I know enough to be above average, but sweet Jesus if I get another game on Forest where I’m busting my kitten to try and prevent us from getting 3-capped while three people on my team are circle-jerking each other over at Svanir I might just have an aneurysm…
Lololol. The odds of having 4 completely bad players on your team is so low. If u have 4 “bad” players on your team there must be a 5th by those odds. I dont want to say “get gud” but that is all it comes down to. Dont blame anet for you losing.

I really enjoyed the first system to where close matches would be 0 pip losses. Now its you either lose a pip or win a pip. There is no incentive to play if you’re being slaughtered.

No. I clearly implied he probably runs an actual PvP build (when not lolligagging in LA) and maybe even a team comp. You see where I’m going yet or still no?
Diamond the the 2 first season. Playing 60 games this season and win 15… I begin the season by a 9 strick win and next only premade of 3 or 4 players against random team. I begin a long lose strick. I continue to play against div 3 players or ruby players but matchmaking put emerald (amber if they premade) with me, players who not listen or inexperienced in PvP.
I win only 5 pip in div 3 with 60 games. I’m close to 1700 games in pvp for 1000 wins, i don’t think i’m a beginner. I found matchmaking of season 2 pretty good and they change for that, can’t up div, can’t up success for legendary back. Hope they going to change that.
Tman , you just are so amazing with your hearsay know it all logic. If the guy is in a team then let him speak or do you know something that is not apparent to the rest. If it’s soloQ then, as many of us realize ,the game is stacked against regular soloQ PvPers.

1. its obviously a pve build which you could see in a split second as long as you are not a kitten
2. pve/pvp/wvw has still different build savings,you can have on build in one mode and when you switch to another mode you dont need to change builds, bet you didnt even know that, you are welcome

I only soloq, all previous seasons and I intend to soloq this one aswell. But now I am on break to let the scrubs catch up, not gonna sit in 3 hour queues.
