well Im bad. I dont deserve to be legendary. I dont have other explaination to go back to the beginning of diamond when I was 2pip from legendary. Up till then I had great progress, w/o any obstacle. But then I hit the wall. Im soloq only.
what Im doind wrong? did I have teammates who carried me this hard and now I dont? I realy dont know but I have to smile, I simply dont understand it….
yes, I have to learn to play but like this much? dropping over a week back to the beginning? no matter if I play ele/DH/rev?

the thing is I dont win some, Im like loosing 5-6 and win1, and repeat:)

and the problém is that it literally doesnt matter what I do (playing close and supporting mid, being in teamfights or roaing) I just loose everything. Before when I was reading about MMR hell I did not beleive, now I smile cs Im in it I think. nvm I had fun this season with my playing but now I really dont understand.

yes I could get out of it with team but something doesnt work properly, either I should not get this far or I should not suffer now, but w/e. Im having some beer and enjoing my lost matches anyway:)

That statement doesn’t work in a 5v5 game where you need to rely on 4 other people to be competent enough to not throw the match due to horrid rotation, feeding or just being unable to survive in any capacity when a fight rolls their way.

Duo Q’ing gives you a much, much better shot… Three manning and you have a high chance. But if your solo Q’ing and being put in with morons there’s nothing you can do so when someone says they “Deserve” or don’t it’s a poor concept in a team-based game.

I saw 2 legend players got owned by a single engineer. Heck, one of the them is a engineer himself. I laugh so hard when I find out they are legend when the match ended. Btw, that single engineer was a diamond.

To go to legend is all RNG.

I dont know how the game works, does it calculate my MMR to carry when I was this close to legendary? but Im dropping further down, I really beleive if I dont fall asleep I will end up in tier 1 diamond

Hero pvp doesn’t work well in a team game. Its all about chemistry between players and each players ability to perform the job they are assigned. It doesn’t matter how great one single player is, if other players on the team aren’t holding their own and fulfilling their role then the team will have a difficult time.

I solo queued on my other account to Legendary. I lost many a fight in mid the first skirmish. In fact, losing or not having mid is sometimes the best thing that can happen. Taking the 2 outers and then going back to mid or all 3 points has resulted in success.

This is where you see the difference in team members if they belong in their rankings. The good players know when to adapt. The bad ones make the wrong decision time and time again or continue running in mid by their lone wolf self and dying in 5 seconds or less. Losing mid does not make or break your match.

Another really common mistake you see in diamond is targeting the necro first in mid. The experienced team will only go for the necro if it’s really low hp or if they have downed the guardian or druid first. So many diamond games the druid resses the necro who is acting as bait and stalls the opponents so much due to their high health pool that the minute or two to take it down resulted in the rest of your team being down by 50% of their health pool and no skills remaining. Go after their glass players first or druid who keeps ressing.

I’m actually having the exact same thing happen to me right now. Made it to t7 diamond then suddenly a magic lose streak begins, full of nightmare matches where team mates are unable to win even a single combat over the course of an entire match, make gross errors in rotations, argue and in general do not listen to anything spoken in /t chat to the point that one could confuse it with players trying to throw the match on purpose.

Pretty kittened off about it actually.

When you get closer to higher divisions, you are a fodder to them. I don’t want to sound like an jerk but if you want to be in higher divisions you gotta win games vs them. And yes you have to win unfair matches.

The season started almost 2 months ago. There was plenty of time to get to legend. I got to legend by playing flipping thief (playing core build till diamond) and it was over month ago. I am by no means amazing player either. So if you can’t make it to legend while playing strong meta classes/builds within 2 months then idk what to say about “deserving”.
You can blame matchmaking, rng and what not all you want, but enemy teams in my experience make just as many mistakes. If you can’t abuse them you won’t get far. It is safe to assume in soloq that teammates are mindless bots, you gotta play around it and not to rely on anyone. The difference between good and bad player is: bad player blames other, good player carries him/herself.

Some days ago I managed to kill both a condimesmer and a reaper on my scrapper alone on close.

A mesmer and a reaper. With a scrapper. It was unbelievable, I’m legend x2 and both of them were legend too.

I called it quits, there’s really no reason to play anymore in this season, I can’t remember a single instance in which I had a good game (ie: a game where the losing side would score more than 400 points) since I hit legendary.

Anyone who still believes that div = skill is a fool. Or a bad player carried by the match maker to legendary div. Or both.

I solo que’d all the way to legendary and maybe lost 10 games total. It got a little tougher in diamond, and I noticed I had to play at my very best to win the games. Some games I had to carry the team or make a clutch play to win…and that’s how it should be to get to legendary.

If it were super easy and everybody could do it, then nobody would care about earning the title.

All-in-all, it’s still not too difficult to get legendary if you put in the time and play well, so there’s really nobody to blame but yourself.

If what you say is true, then the OP had played his way to where he was “fairly” and had found his place within the MMR algorithm. Wouldn’t you think that he would go win/lose/win/lose at that point rather than a magical epic lose streak back to the beginning of his division?

There is something wrong with the mandatory lose streaks that many players experience right as they hit the end of a division. Either the algorithm is botched or there is favoritism going on within server settings.

I’ve pointed this out on many occasions though no one ever comments back on it.

No one comment it because of two reason
1. Can’t confirm it though the system is suspected bias by some people.
2. Many legend players do not want to admit they are carried to legend by the system’s winning streak, instead of working through the ladder like some others had. What’s more, it is a solid fact there are a lot of bad legends.

often if your at the last tier of diamond, u get to play against bottom legendary players, which might have higher mmr than u. i think u should have stop when ur getting consecutive loses and wait a few minutes to Q up again.
