Guild Wars 2

So I’m sure someone has already posted this somewhere, I just haven’t found it… I’m pretty new to the game but have been PvPing most of the time I’ve played, was just wondering if there was ever going to be an arena implemented into the game? A 2v2 or 3v3 map type. Whichever team kills the other first wins… Kinda self explanatory… Also, should be a rating system as well sort like WoW has theirs. DISCLAIMER, I DO NOT PLAY WOW NOR HAVE I EVER. Just seen streams, so in before the rage of people telling me to go back to a game I’ve never played haha.

There is the arena in the guild hall, and I think if you make a custom pvp arena, you can limit the number of players.

the answer is basically no. the topic is brought up by a number of people every once n a while, but its been ~3 years and its not been added yet.

there are some imperfect work arounds like wat the other guy mentioned but it is quite sad

I understand that you can do it through the Guild Hall and all that but I’m talking about a “League” for it. I know they’re having one start tomorrow but getting grouped with randoms is 50/50 your team is dumb. Also, finding a Guild where I can have a PvP group isn’t something I’ll turn down but 2v2 I think will show more skill rather than me facing someone on a point and getting ganked because his team decides to zerg… Just a thought I think Anet needs to really take into consideration.

There’s been a good few posts on this.
They mentioned something about it years ago then pushed off into a diff direction.
They also had experimented with death match not long ago but it didn’t work as well as they hoped and was eventually removed.
So in order for a new feel to pvp they introduced stronghold.
But alas it has been years now with no sign of them even planning on doing arenas.
It would be nice if they would but I’m pretty sure that one of the reasons behind them not doing it is because that’s that much extra balance they would have to do.
So long story short. Yes it had been discussed before, but no they are not leaning towards putting in arenas.

No, just no. no-respawn TDM should never become anything more than something done in guild halls and practice arenas.
I’ve played games with that game mode. It’s extremely build limiting, absolutely hellish for new players, and has the most simplistic and insipid strategies ever.
