Hey, i was hearing rumors about guys making serious wins (10 in a row or more, getting diamond league easy) while abusing the timer of the queue, there is somehow a certain trick to avoid good teams, by restarting the queue under the crititcal mark of 3 minutes. I tested it out and i worked (i hope i don’t get bann for this) just wanted to report here if it’s real. Pls Anet fix. (or was is bad luck after 7 straight loss?)

As I understand it the longer your queue goes past the average time the more potential for deviation in player ratings you get through the roster. So the longer the queue time goes theoretically your odds of facing a lower or higher rated opponent goes up. Cancelling and restarting however does not guarantee you will avoid that match though. It has more to do with whoever else is in the queue at that particular time.

I think the gates in foefire always start at full health now. For what its worth.

Either way, pvp is pretty funny now. This trick obviously works. The matchmaking will place you farther and farther from your mmr rating the longer the queue goes. So it makes sense that if you only enter quickly matched games that you will face opponents closer to your skill level more often, leading to easier games.

The 3 min waiting is just a indication if u face a good grp or not, taking good players with amber with you is making it much more possible to avoid getting over 3min, as reported in other thread already! banwave inc?

can u confirm it +3 pips in one game while teammates were amber only

I could hardly call this an exploit if the explanation above is indeed how it works. If you are ok with waiting somewhat longer to get into fairer matches thats perfectly fine imho.
