and not necessarily, i don’t know if you have encountered these builds or not, but they are so insanely overpowered that you can’t kill them

Welcome to the PvP forum, and to PvP in general.

It’s probably worth practicing for a while and learning how to counter the various classes and their builds before coming here to complain. It’s energy better spent.

I imagine if the comp you faced was 1 of each different classes, you’d of had the same result.

Your title says 3 Mesmer and 2 eles but your post wants burning from mesmers, eles and guardians nerfed. If you didn’t confuse a guardian for a Mesmer, then guardian burns have nothing to do with the match you are complaining about.

Also, PU Mesmer burning is not great and having 2 or more PU Mesmers sux for any team. I’d rather have 1 direct dmg shatter. Why did you guys let PU mesmers cap? It’s a strong troll build but weak capping build

As to the OP, mesmer max burst damage after mirror blade nerf is actually about the same as it was before the spec patch. PU is mostly where it was before the patch too, the only real difference are the few extra traits from chaos (everyone else is getting more defence/offence too) and I believe confounding suggestions with phantasmal fury because the others are bad.

If you’re part of the 5 vs the 1 then it’s you and your team most likely not the classes. Perhaps instead of raging in the forums you could ask how the classes in question managed it. Go to the specific forums and describe the build as best you can (weapons, defences etc) and they might be able to help show what it’s weakness is and how you can either beat it with your build or to adapt to it.

Example: Most power shatter mesmers are insanely weak to conditions to the point that they have to run from that fight.

I wouldn’t mind seeing five thieves on a team…so long as it’s the other team. Five eles on my own team though I certainly wouldn’t mind.

1) Where do you think the builds on Metabattle come from?
2) Plenty of people run non-meta builds, and I find it gets annoying after a while when you constantly have 1-2 S/D rangers vs a meta or closer-to-meta comp, because it’s like 4v5 or even 3v5. Un-versatile or even role-less builds make me fed up with PvP.
3) Just because you choose to run what has been deemed optimal by the majority of the PvP player-base, doesn’t mean you aren’t creative or that you can’t think for yourself. Can’t an individual compare builds – some they made and some meta – conclude for themselves that the meta one is better, and choose it? Does that make them un-creative and sheepish? If you believe so, then you’re lying to yourself, and your problem isn’t that they aren’t thinking, but that you aren’t or aren’t good enough and want to fix it by having others run sub-optimal builds that allow you a chance. I suggest working on getting better instead of appealing on the forums to make others worse.
