Just beat a full premade as five soloqueue players and got awarded 3 pips. Just posting to confirm it can happen for those of you skeptical!

PS: They (team reckless) were trying to get us to concede in exchange for 400 points on foefire for a “chance for a pip from a loss” before they got stomped btw. Funny how when I played vs PZ last night they just won the game and didn’t resort to trying to extort wins vs soloqueuers that teams should already be stomping!

This type of interaction between teams and soloqueuers is really obnoxious, not to mention people giving up before the gates even drop just because the opponents have a premade! Stop it, act like adults!

While there’s obviously no gamesmanship in it, you got to hand it to them, they provided a perfectly sound diplomatic solution to conflict.

Pretty funny too.

It’s almost like there should be separate solo and team queues.

I guess it’s pretty funny, from a farther perspective, but as a player it’s very frustrating! I have no problems with losing, getting paired with bad teammates, or anything else. I just want to play the game and ladder up based on how I perform—not having premades cutting deals with my pugs and determining the outcome of a game before the gate drops!

You don’t get more pips just for beating premades—you get additional pips if you beat a premade that was collectively identified as being stronger than your group of 5 players. In this case, you stomping them corroborates that they were much worse players than you, especially given the context of them launching a cooperative effort. I’d take the pip and run

It’s based around MMR, and a 5 man premade gets a 10% MMR boost ( 2% per player in the same group ) so they probably had lower MMR alla ropund and grouping up pushed them to ours.

Still, would feel better if beating a premade or guild team just gave you 2 pips per default.

1 in 10 attempts , there are some players complaining about 20 match loosing streak so am being generous

wow, i’ve gained a pip from a loss, and lost two pips before, but gaining 3? crazy lol.
