Unless your a power ranger this is not a fun map. I admit its good for 2v2’s but that’s it.
Tell me why people vote for this instead of Khylo.

Courtyard is fun. Change your build to something applicable to TDM and enjoy. Remember that if your team is getting rekt that they would have very likely lost on a conquest map too, so be thankful that courtyard ends even faster.

I just dont understand why people would vote for that over Khylo.
Why dont people vote for it its an awsome map

maybe because there are 6 conquest maps and only 1 tdm, conquest gets boring after so many years

so when it comes up, lots of times u just wantt o do something diff. even if u lose, at least it was something other than conquest

Khylo makes me nervous. A lot of people don’t know how to respond to the trebs. They don’t know when to be on them, when to be off. They don’t know when and who should take out the opponent’s treb.

Courtyard is short and has less opportunities for people to screw up.

Courtyard is ok, you just need to bring class with good range dmg. Power necros are gods there coz of tons ranged aoe and lich. If you go something like thief or mesmer you doing it wrong :P

Courtyard is the only true PvP map in the game. To win a pvp game by killing the lord, is that really pvp? Conquest is PvP lite and since this is a game of lightweights, its super popular. instead of whining about it because your zerker glass cannon is getting owned, grab a real build. Use a wvw build; i use the Red Guard frontline Guardian build and it does just fine in Courtyard, the only yard.

As it stands now CY sucks. Not because it’s a bad map but because it shares a queue with conquest. Until they fix that people will continue to whine, complain and quit when it gets selected. No matter how you want to defend it… It does not belong in a conquest queue.

This +1. I wish there was a separate courtyard queue. It would stop the whiners and let the people who actually want to play it enjoy it.

Some people enjoy courtyard, some don’t. I had fun with courtyard for like first 2 minutes. TDM could be interesting, but this map is just not good enough for people to take it seriously, the state TDM is at atm is just not making is very likeable map. Not even mentioning that one person can ruin the game for the whole team because they can’t play their own build and keep dying.

I heard Stronghold will share the queue with rest of current maps? If that is true, it’s a perfect way to kill the new map.

You know, Anet ment to give us this map cuz of loyal players wer socializing & 1v1 on Foefire. So they wanted to reward us with a new map of our own. But, they added it into the roaster instead of just giving it to us for free & hoped we could repeat the fun on Foefire. But it’s not. & It’s certainly not free.

Give us Courtyard for free. So we can design our own courtyard. No gems, no gold no nothing. Just the ability to make it our own as you promised.

Only fun for Rangers? Last night I showed up healing Guard (consecrations), was paired with a bunker Guard (shouts) and we persuaded our 2 necros and a thief buddies to stick close to us. 500 to 75. We had all kinds of fun, the Ranger on the other side? Less so, I’m sure.

Huge fan of courtyard. I think its great!

Personally, I think courtyard is boring. I think it cuts off the better fights found in conquest and just leaves 5v5 zerg fight. It also is the map requiring a very specific comp to win. Ive been in tons of 10v10’s and 15 v 15’s and can easily put to gether something to win this map, but in matchmaking its so hit or miss if you get a good comp for this type of fight, I never pick it.

I dont WvW anymore because Im tired of that playstyle.

I consider it and skyhammer just gimick maps as they arent even used in tourney’s I believe.
