How do rangers get a 30 second taunt on you? I got taunted for around 30 seconds in a match, the ranger replied saying he uses a 30 second taunt duration trait but I see no such thing.

Beastly Warden and it’s a 2 second taunt.

Unfortunately I wasn’t recording the match, but here’s a screenshot of his reply. He taunted me just as I portalled out, I ended up in a 1v1 with a thief a few seconds later and couldn’t target him for the whole duration of the 1v1 since he was marked yellow.

You got trolled hard, and there’s a bug that locks you into taunt sometimes under very weird circumstances (i can’t even reproduce it myself, it just happens sometimes) and you can’t get out of it unless you use a stun break or get another cc on you , it breaks it.

If you get taunted while you have the resistance boon, you can’t swap targets until the the source of the taunt is out of range (in this case the ranger probably swapped pets, breaking the bugged taunt effect).

I had the same bug, i couldn’t target him cuz marked yellow.

No wonder this affected me so much more frequently on my Revenant… >_>

Ah I see, occurs with resistance. They’ll probably fix that bug but also silently nerf taunt all at the same time. Anet has a way of doing that.
