4 Negative Dev Changes To sPVP Recently...

Many good changes have occurred in the past. However, several bad changes have been implemented as of late. Also, a bug in queuing has been introduced.

1. Kyhlo and Skyhammer were dumbed down
2. Queuing is currently broken and dishonor was removed
3. End of match statistics have been abbreviated although some different stats were introduced
4. Round scoring is gone

I was thinking the same about the new contribution stats.

Cleaving downed bodies is a highly important contribution towards wins but they left it out to promote bleeding. This wasn’t a wise trade because anyone who has a clue wouldn’t sacrifice the momentum just for tops. Builds that specialize in finishing downs get no recognition.

There’s no measure for CC and status conditions. Someone who spends all their time dropping the knockdowns and dazes at all the right moments sways all the momentum but gets no recognition either.

Top healing often goes to the solo/far warrior.

Top damage often goes to the meditrapper.

Top defense gets rewarded to campers. Just sit on home all day and you get this.

I wish that the damage stats contain cleaving again. There is nothing which kittenes me more off than me being the only one cleaving, meanwhile the downed player gets rezzed. Implementing cleaving into damage stats again would maybe motivate players to do so.

GL getting any stats as roamer.
Khylo is like biggest blow to any roamer main as well. It is like Anet wants us to join bandwagon of DHs and afk on points.

removing everything that made skyhammer skyhammer (annoying as hell) was a really great move imho.
i’ll agree i’m not a fan of the khylo change, unlike skyhammer which had a thread of over 2000 people saying “this is stupid/annoying…” i don’t think i’ve seen anyone complain about khylo.
infact my only criticism is that the trebs should have been removed,
and this change has made it easier to repair them.

Yeah, the majority of players hated old Skyhammer. It was a fun map though because it was different and relied heavily on knock backs/pulls/cc.

The new Kyloh is equally hated by many though. It’s ridiculously boring now and instead of being a map where you had to have some rotational strategy it’s now more about winning the initial team fights.
