4v5 is such an easy fix
Agree 100! This should be the top of the chart when it comes to fixes and PvP. But today I feel very negative about the state of this game and some resent comments from Dev’s.

If the game is 4v5 when the initial pre game timer hits 0, it should reset to 1 min, boot the afker, and get a new person.
If 4v5 happens mid game then oh well tough nuts. Most 4v5’s I get are people afk who never join at all.
Really wish they’d implement my first sentence.
PvP modes are the “endgame” in all MMOs.
Stop failing at PvE, and fix WvW/SPvP. Thank you.

4v5 is not a fault it is a feature. That’s why it has not been fixed. No idea why Anet implemented it but they must have their reasons.
There is no reason for this to ever happen. Matches should always have equal numbers of players at all times. If someone leaves red team for example, a member from blue team should instantly be placed back into spectate mode, and queued to rejoin. When another player joins red, the blue team member is placed back into the game and numbers are balanced again. With respect to rewards, if the blue team member does not get back into the game because no one joins red, they receive the same rewards at the end of the match as the rest of the blue team.
Why can’t Anet make this happen?

No more 4v5’s and no more skyhammer if you don’t want to play it. And if some idiot goes afk then he gets thrown out of que.

It already sucks that in solo q a lot of my wins/losses depend on how many low rank or people with bad builds are on my/the other team.
If I got redirected to spectator while my team of 4 zerker 3 signet rangers got to play and lost it for me I would probably just uninstall this instantly.

Once you are in a team there is nothing you can do about it – the only solution I could offer there is to only play team. If you choose to play solo and you happen to end up in a ‘bad’ team, are you seriously telling me that when one of YOUR team drops out, that you think that playing the rest of the match 4v5 helps with your win/loss ratio?

No misunderstanding I think. What about when you are in the team with 4 playing against 5 players?
People who play soloQ should give Anet something they hold dear for the time the game lasts, like your mum, pa or dog for example. If you leave the fight before it ends, they will be strangled slowly and agonizingly by Jon or Karl. If you stay until the fight ends, you get them back.
Problem solved, no coding needed.
So you que into a ranked format to get pulled into an already started game where the win/lose may of been decided already due to events occurring before you were “auto balanced” into the match?

You just need a confirmation window and kick those who don’t confirm and match-make those who do.

Considering they programmed Escape From Lion’s Arch, I think they can do this at the very least.
This is mainly an issue of priorities and PvP stuff takes very low priority.
easy fix= don’t play soloQ. It is broken. Broken toys are no fun. Especially when the toy maker knew it was broken the moment they sold it.
4v5 is almost a guaranteed loss. And it happens way too much.
I told my team to just let them win to end it faster but this guy was so passionate to drag it out and try to win the 4v5 that he told me to die in a fire after saying he reprted me for not contributing to the fight.

Interesting solution but how does this help balance team numbers when the game is coded to start a match when there is 4v5?

Ready button+"YOUR GAME IS READY" pop up with a good sound effect even if you are tabbed out from the game, like smite does it, maybe other do but i only know smite.
How would waved queues work in gw2 btw? Seemed to work pretty well in smite while it still had a pretty lowish population.
I normally stay far away from solo q.
I decided to do one game today and no surprise: It was a 4vs5.
The class stacking is awesome also btw…..
