Whoever’s bright idea it was to make it ok for tPVP to start as a 4v5, please think again. You are at a severe disadvantage compared to the other team. If you insist on leaving it as a 4v5 then compensate the other team for their lost time as that team will indeed lose.

I honestly think it was poor planning on Anets part and should be rethought. Bad form Anet….bad form. Hope this doesn’t come off as rude or anything. I apologize if it does. It is just very frustrating when it happens multiple times and there is nothing you can do about it.

It’s not the other team, nor the other 2 teams playing in your tourney that your 5th player didn’t join the game at all. Why should you make 15 players wait for you if you couldn’t even bring a full team correctly?

I agree with OP. It’s really annoying if u fight a team with only 4 players, or if u hotjoin and get stuck with 4.

I also hate the fact that some people decide to join at the very last second. Everyone has to wait 5min just for 1 guy to join. They should make it when there is only 2 min left on timer and other team is fully ready, you got 10 seconds to join or you get a debuff for 15-30min to prevent u from going more tourneys.

Keep in mind, if you were to queue with a premade, you could just QQ at your teammate when they leave and make sure they don’t do it again. If your just gonna pug tourney, don’t have high expectations from your teammates. If you can just have your team set before you enter tourney, this will never be a problem for you. Anet expects people to organize their own groups for tourney, sPvP is where you should be without a group, no offense

Because thanks to how the system is designed, tPvP is the only place you can guarantee getting teamed with a group of 2-4 friends. Believe me, we’d be just as happy to not get shoved into the same gig as all the premades. GW2 will be a much happier place once the small group team support gets properly worked out.

I’m talking about doing a pug tPVP group as sometimes my team is either not on currently when I play at times, or I just want to play with someone new who understands the pvp in this game better than some people in sPVP.

I’m not saying buff the lower numbered team as that would in my opinion be stupid. But either compensate them with increased Glory at the end of the match (when you have to click on the chalice thingy) or make so the tournament doesn’t start until there are 5 members on each team to give a fair chance for each team (even causing the timer to reset if a member leaves before the timer is up).
