Rarely happens during the week. Had 10-15 4v5 games every weekend if i did play (this week i didnt). So you either stop caring or stop playing during the weekends like i did.

We dont have the tools to deal with the problem. The only thing we can do is suggest alternative solutions to the one that is allready in place. Which happened a lot allready.
But that doesnt guarantee that anything will be done about it….
So the main options we have is to avoid hours where this problem occurs….or quit the game.
My team actually managed to win one of the several 4v5’s I found myself in but that doesn’t make it any better. It just shows my rank was dropped enough that me and another good player could carry against a low skill opponent.

In all honesty i know what you mean,but how can you blame it on anet ? all they could do is give the players some sort of negative buff,or dont allow them to join tq or sq anymore for some time,but that wont fix it either since the pvp base is very low.
The fault lies at the players who leave,you can punish them…but it stil wont fix a thing.
Soloq, much fun, wow. Even though I was on the full team/winning side I felt so bored from this match that I didn’t even bother queueing for another round and just pressed alt F4 after this.

This make drop my rank a lot and now I played in the “FAIL PLAYERS ZONE”.
Anyway sometimes I won 4vs5 but that was really hard.
What actually causes 4v5’s to run rampant in this game besides people forgetting they are in the que? Because I can’t see that really being the main reason, because how can so many people honestly kitten out and forget?

I don’t understand it really.
Had a chat with a lot of the players that where in my 4v5s. Just a few of the reasons:
- Trolling one specific player that he/she dislikes.
- Some real life issues that came up.
- Cba to fight due to x number of certain class on the opposing team or not liking that specific map.
- Hating on GW2 and intentionally trying to harm the game and its community.
- People not listening to him/her tactics wise.
What they have in common is that they dont care one bit about Anets punishment. I suggest changing it so it only affects the afkers. Make them lose a lot of rating, MMR, glory or even silver.
