I work in the industry too, and I also agree it would be a simple fix. No, not as simple as a 2 lines CL, but something an average engineer can code in less than a morning, with tests. I read a blog post from their engineers a while ago, and they are competent. The problem is the release process; it’s been killing this game slowly.

That’s part of every game’s matchmaking system.
Like there isn’t an MMO/MOBA/competent-PvP-game I have played without a check that the person is there when the queue pops… I mean besides GW2… honest to god.

more gems →makes arenanet more greedy → arenanet go easy way and fokus on pve

in beta and the time before when arenanet cared bout the game there was something like the feel bout a “vision” or all the inovation and made us happy

now, when you guys shipped, the game looks like you throw this overboard and have complete new team just fokus on milking the playerbase with stupid and useless “candy” content

so no – gems dont make a better game – on gw2 it goes the other way, it makes the game more ugly

atleast for me cause i dont see any good coming since release

I don’t see the co-relation between “More Gems” and “Better Game”. Please provide an example of how increased Gem Store Revenue has caused Grand High Overlord NCSoft to give a directive that wasn’t “Sell More Gems” in the hopes of initiating a feedback loop.

Nevertheless to put a sound effect when the window open its ridiculously easy if your
code is not a messed up spaggeti thing.
Its LITERALLY 1 line of code if your code its good organized.
I have sympathy for the devs too, heck, i can’t write a program with a few thousand lines with out a million bugs. BUT lets not overprotecting them.
Yes some bug fixing or additions is ridiculous easy to do. I have the suspicion than
ether they don’t care or the code is so mixed up that they need hours and hours for
the simplest thing. Not our fault. Their’s.

Not to make this awkward, but you do know they’ve given up on GW2 pvp right? So yes, simple common sense improvements may seem obvious to you, but if you’ve given up… that’s a lot of work.

When you are at it, lower the waiting time to 30 – 15 seconds.
