Speaking of glory, for the chests that we currently have in our inventory…what would happen to its rewards if we open it after the glory boosters/rewards get phased out. Would there be any amendments to the rewards in the chests? (eg. chests’ glory boosters being replaced with another reward?)

And also, any type of compensations to our glory boosters if we do not use them by March 18th? (eg. trade in for a set amount of gold, etc). Players such as myself that have stacks and stacks of these boosters will more than likely not be able to use them all (productively) before the phasing out of the glory rewards.

Does this extra reward points get influencied by me not getting the rewards chest since i moved from EU to NA server?

Because they have all the weapon skins, armor skins from the chests. And are most likely full on the materials that they give from salvaging. I wouldn’t doubt some players have every single dye in this game.

There is no reason to open chests. And if they are just removed it would be like there was no reward for winning or playing the past 6 months or even longer

I was enjoying the bonus points today in arena until I got a dishonorable buff. I did not purposely leave any arena, but I did have connection issues today and was repeated dcing. I think its pretty unfair that I now will miss the rest of this weekend in arena as I cant play in an arena now for 2 days. Please fix this Anet.

I hate this kittening rank point change. i had one unlucky game and went from rank 300 something down to 92%, now i only keep getting people who are so beyond bad that makes the normal hot join player seem like pro players.

Guess i have to stay away from the game until all these new/pve champs leave so i can climb out of this hell hole or i’ll probably get myself banned if i keep trying to play.

Also considering the fact that GW2 has been DDoS hacked this whole week. Hope they take that into consideration. I got dishonored yesterday after completing a whole tourney game o.o, the 2 games prior to that I got penalties due to the ddos attacks and not making it back to the match in time. zzz

a) 250x chests take 1 slot. Just the useless 1k powder i have takes up 4.

b) Its a waste of glory. 200 glory for salvaging to get stuff/materials u already have dozens of.

c) It actualy takes time to open them . For 250x chests about 1-hour, depending on your clicking, mouse and mental state.

This bonus should be better advertised and communicated. As we have in-game mails telling players what’s new, I guess the basic choice would be sending everyone who enters HotM during this event a mail informing them about weekend bonus.
Not everyone was present on the livestream and not everyone browses these forums.
Some may be surprised by the sudden +500 rank points and some may be afraid it’s a bug (ban exploiters bawwaww!). Also this thread isn’t even a sticky.
Thanks for the bonus but need to spread the info in a more official and direct way!

The devs’ level of understanding of the currently only available pvp game mode of the game was staggering abysmal. But that’s not the topic so scrach that and keep on working on improving the game. Props for trying tho. But that’s not the topic is it.
I’ll keep it shut now.

When does this end? At the end of Sunday or until Tuesday Patch?

Why don’t we have more bonus rank point (or other type of xp) weekends? I feel like it would bring more people to try pvp.

I understand that this current rank point bonus may be a one time thing, but you should better inform people of it. Make it something like GW1. The initial log-in page isn’t a very good spot to put things since most people have auto log-in, so it is only up for at most 5 seconds before it brings the player to character select.

The announcements in GW1 worked well because people had to interact to log-in, so it gave time to players to actually read the current bonuses and news (can see in photo attached). So small things such as Heroes’ Ascent Bonus was probably noticed by more players who didn’t even care much (or know about) Heroes’ Ascent.

But at the very least, you should have put the increased rank point on the announcements at log-in so people had a chance to see it.
