8v8 Deathmatch
I tought deatchmatch would be a bad and impossible idea for GW2. Until now.

3v3, 5v5 would be better formats imo!
Looked so messy with everything going off. Should a tried it in 5s. So many colors brag…
8v8 puts wierd dynamics in play with lots of aoes only hitting a max of 5 targets.

Don’t go halfway. Put a treb and repair kit on it too. I hated when they took that out.

- decrease HP when death

Take a page out of fighting games. In fighting games, you have power gauges that you have to fill up in order to use uber special moves.
Do the same for deathmatch mode if the main obstacle to implementing it is the usage of elite skills immediately at the beginning of each match.
Make it so that we can only use elite skills after inflicting or receiving enough damage to fill the ‘power gauge’.

Cool video but I think 8v8 is too many players. Like others I’d like to see 3v3 or 5v5. That way the focus is more on individuals contributions and not just how many aoes can be spammed in the right area.
this would be insanely fun, especially if it was 5v5.
That really looked amazing! Possibly a tad messy just having an 8v8 deathmatch, but if some secondary (at least) mechanics were introduced, I think it (or 5v5) would prove to be a really captivating game mode.
Agree with majority 8×8 is too much. Dam I wish that anet would just develop a simple DM mode for various amount of players (2×2 3×3 5×5), it would require so little work, yet would go a lot in “fun pvp” department…
looks interesting, but i still think 3v3 or 5v5 would be better format, this is a bit too messy and zergy…
8 is fine if it involves full team on team clashes.
Zergy is only bad when one team is really outnumbered in the fights.
But yeah, anything seems fun at this point, with how stale GW2 is coming to be…
Just custom map making would make a WORLD of difference in this game.
