Some one wasn’t here for the legit power burst meta when Zerker amy was actually a thing for every class. We also had a burst Condi meta too.

the battles have no momentum at all two teams clash the one gets the capture point in 5 seconds game over.
Seems like that due to the huge skill gap between players in “rated” games atm. Top 10 players get placed in to matches with players that never played before. The result is that ppl die fast.
And ppl experiment with builds so the need for sustain gets thrown out of the window.
Please tanks feel like glass cannons and glass cannons are being instagibbed by tanks. Only tanks can afford glass cannon amulets and glass cannons need vitality or tankier amulets to survive. This didn’t happen as dramatically when trait points gave stats.
They did a good job in the recent updates and got me playing again so I can’t complain too much. We need more decent updates like these and more skills/secondary specs
Define glass cannon build. I personally run marauder and it is not exactly glass cannon.
If teams wipe that fast in team fights then it is MM fail, not build issue. It means the MM put experienced players vs good players.

I’d 100% play a game with low ttk that requires skill, positioning, cooldown management etc. to make you sustainable, where you can kill someone in few seconds, and at the same time be killed in one second if you don’t pay attention, have no knowledge on how to play and how to build your profession for pvp, than play a game where all you do is a stalemate between you and your enemies / your team and your enemy team.
Maybe it’s just me, but I see pvp as something that gives you prestige and fun for the players you kill, not for those you are in a decade long stalemate with.
I have been running meditation burn guard before the patch and after the patch, and i have to say, it’s doing quite well. I can single out a target and burst them down with burn, and then use the body as bait… trap the body and use my scepter and sword symbols and stack the burns up to 10k ticks per second in an aoe…

Did you guys know 95% of statistics are made up on the spot?
Well the first mistake was giving thief 10k hp. a warrior can 1 shot that with various burst skills. 1 hit. That is absolutely not ok. That is like a thief backstabbing these zerker mesmers with 16k health for 16k. The community wouldn’t stand for it and it would be nerfed. This is part of the reason the thief community will never be satisfied.
As for the other classes. Defenses are so high that they all play mard or zerk builds. if you use any other amulet for a power build your enemy could be immortal on any class. Condition builds of course can work with any condition amulet even hybrid condition power amulets.
So basically to sum up the irony. The assassin class is too squishy to run a non vitality assassin amulet while the tank classes don’t deal enough damage to even kill a decent player without an assassin amulet.
Continuing, because of this most run condition which is by far the strongest right now Which makes the situation worse because Armor doesn’t matter to it only hp does. 10k unmitigated damage per second or worse by many condition builds. This is why tanks are effectively in the same boat as glass cannons.
So in the end everyone runs condition or mard. which in thieves case gives an extra 7k so if the first burst didn’t kill you the next attack/conditions will. And although classes have dodges and blocks, a strait defense rotation (which is possible) still gets hit for 7k’s+ through the 1/4th second intervals. For example: you would have to dodge non stop to actively dodge a DH instant skills for example otherwise you need a reaction time of infinity.
Still, the last update, although reducing diversity a bit, cut down on allot of the damage condition and power.
Am not seeing any zerker amulet guys,and am playing pvp almost every day.Guess you guys talk about NA,or?Didnt even saw ppl geting one shot for quite some time,last i saw this was during the shatter mesmer era.Not even killshot warrs truly one shot ppl in pvp at least.Maybe some zerker ele?but havent seen those either in ages,most take mara if they go FA or some funky staff build

Power creep refers to increased power level, it has nothing to do with the GW2 stat called “power”.
