Anet, you’ve said that the queue times will get better once the majority of the population catches up, but that’s so far proven to be false, at least in my case.

When I was ruby, and many others were ruby, I would still be in queues for an hour or more if i tried to solo queue, while other rubies would get quick 5 minute queue pops. I know mmr takes a part into the queue times, but this is just plain stupid.

Now that i’m im diamond, here i am sitting in a 1 hr 11 minute queue (still going as I type this, since I have so much time on my hands) and im unable to play the freaking game mode that I want. People won’t catch up, because either theyll never get to diamond/legend, or ill always be ahead and stuck in these unreasonable queue times.

At least make it so that if i solo queue, i can get pops with lower mmr players. Guild wars 2 isnt a game where a high mmr player in a low mmr game will be able to 1v5 or anything of the sort.

I got an insta pop once when i logged on into a 5 man PZ premade, which i was ok with since I just want to play the game, and then i queued up again, while they got a pop into 5 lower mmr players while im still sitting pretty even unable to get pops with high mmr players.

So who exactly is the system trying to match me up against? This is ridiculous and I cant even play the game……..anet please.

Its sad to say that these queue times are my average that I always end up cancelling since I give up on the queue pop, I have to resort to queueing with a bunch of unskilled players vs top tier players and its not even close to fun

(Icing on the cake is being unable to queue from outside of the mists, since anet promised me quicker queue times when leagues came out and when HoT came out, its cool though!)

Just a quick update, queue is now 1.5 hours (solo), meanwhile friends that are both lower mmr and high mmr are getting queue pops left, right, and center. hello?

que up with some amber, anet don’t care about PvP anyway.

Truth is, many soloQ don’t que anymore. Ques will be longer and longer everyday.

They don’t have enough players. That’s why they can’t split solo queue and team queue, which alienates solo players, shrinking the PvP population even more.

The balance, matchmaker, pip system, HotM being a prison, doesn’t help much either.

A lot needs to be done, especially to fight power creep, and they are not willing to do anything for the next 2 months. I don’t expect much from that future balance patch either.

Time to find a game, something you can enjoy, not a hate-inducing software causing pain and suffering.

if they seperate Team and soloq, what will happen is
most team q players will shift to solo q
and some of these diamond farmers will actually have to face other diamond farmers
instead of having 4 of them on the same team

I’m sure people wouldn’t consider 1x Diamond + 4x Sapphire as abuse, unlike 4x Diamond + Amber / Emerald.

I got diamond by duo queueing, trio queueing, some solo, and some 5 mans. Majority of the time I try to just invite some of my pve friends to queue with me so I get to get queue pops.

Yes… when the MAJORITY catches up it will get better.. if you had stopped grinding as a 5 in saph/ruby. But no… the MAJORITY of people are not playing everyday as a 5 stack trying to do 3/4 a division every. day.

There is most likely (AND SHOULD BE) a max amount of divisions apart for it to form a team, before counting parties.
You can not honestly expect there to be 4-9 other Rubies for it to match you with an ANYTIME of the day… or Sapphires when you first got into ruby.
If you want constant matches maybe don’t BREAK and MANIPULATE your way to a higher tier than a large amount of the player base. Simple as that.

I hope you didn’t expect any sympathy from the community that you have been farming and (preventing from getting to higher divisions)<All you stupid kittens made your own grave so go ahead and lay down til your queue pops.

The true is alot players like myself stop playing pvp at all. Before HoT I used to play 5-10 games/day, after HoT ZERO. I have more fun dueling with friends in custom arena then this bullkitten.

@Sunfish Want to just que up sometime w/ poop? :P We are trying to get diamond also but we just keep facing the farmer teams. But our que is only 7-8 mins long.

Also! Do you get demoted back to ruby when you lose? (or not)

I dont expect any sympathy, All I want is to play games. I didnt 5 man farm my way to diamond, i queued with friends, whether it was duo, trio, or quad/5 man. I win most of my games so i progressed quickly.

This thread was made with the purpose of questioning why 4 diamonds and an emerald got 6x more queue pops than I did. I dug my own grave by playing the game? Seems legit.

I find this rather funny but at same time I also understand, you shouldn’t be forced to wait to play the game it’s rather fail system but at same time what you get for farming solo que’ers in au timezone…. karma’s a kitten it seems.

Anet needs serious help. Is it the employees? Do they need to fire someone? Do they even have the right vision for PvP? They should have weekly PvP meetings and should release the notes of that meeting every week because this is just getting kittenING ABSURD FIX YOUR kittenING GAME.

There was, “Hire and Fire” thread last week, they was able to communicate after seeing it for one day… maybe we should ask more frequently about that matter?

I do understand it sucks the whole league system is designed to punishes players who team up to make there way up the divisions. Also punished for trying to grind to get the final reward which many I believe want.

THat’s call farming. In PvE you kill mobs that are easy and fast to get items or experience, so please stop defend these pro players are playing league now for competition, they are not.

First, if you wouldn’t duo/triple/5man Q before and only solo/duo, you wouldn’t have problem now. You may consider it funny, but Rom or Helseth doesn’t have your issue.

Second, you got separate MMR in Unranked. You can try to play there until Anet fix this and/or there will be more people close to your MMR in Ranked.

You are diamond. Almost all the Diamonds right now are teams ( as it’s supposed to be)..

So, uh, kittening queue up duo or trio or with a team like how you got there in the first place.

Guess what.. Us actual soloers are in sapphire/ruby right now and we get 3min pops all day long.

If you get matched with anyone as a diamond soloQ it’s going to be you + 4 lower plebs vs PZ or something. You might not care if you lose, but those 4 progress gonna be hindered by it as we see by the plethora of topics here.
