Over the past few weeks many members in the North American PvP community have asked multiple times and kindly tried to mentor this mentally slow thief named Glaphe.. Many people have asked him to change his build and offered him kindness and advice.. Recently in the last week that has stopped.. Multiple teams and players just sit inside their base and just afk when they see him on their team.. I was unfortunate enough to be playing with my 4 teammates when we got him as our 5th, he proceeded to inform us that he was going to afk in our base because i told him his build was bad and to not be useless and just cap home.. We had a tough game but eventually still won the 4v5.. Regardless of the fact that he was kitteny enough to afk and leave people in such a kittened up situation, i decided to remain neutral to his existence and not make a forum post about him.. Today though he reached a new level.. I was in a match with Dartanian, Tiffany, Tarcis, and Shwarnheit VS Overpowered Necro, Crysis, Readymade, and Glaphe.. All the players on the opposite team decided not to leave their base because it was pointless of them to fight with a bunker thief on their team.. It was ridiculous how much damage one player is doing to the PvP NA scene, when people decide that one mentally slow player on their team automatically makes it useless to play and decide to just afk in their base.. The worst part is this Glaphe guy proceeds to insult and troll you in map chat the whole time he’s in a match while he just afk’s in base.. I’m sick and tired of being in games with and against him.. I know other players feel the same way.. OPN and Readymade, i made this post for you..

I need a “report for being at trolly kitten” button, because, as it stands right now the only option is unranked which means im either with or against this mentally challenged thief.

He is a good player and you allow him to play his role. You have everybody in this game telling him how to play a build and where to go and thats bull.

Let this person play what they like. Try embracing his bunker thief instead of acting superior. The very truth of it is many people are not as good as they think they are and many of those people in the ESl tourneys need all 5 of them to play at a elite level. Its been proven with 2-3 man groups from the ESl teams they dont dominate and the fact he is playing these guys says something.

I (a top esl player that has gone over 45 wins in a row before) am often paired with lower level kittens to even out the group mmr to face a lower mmr’d group on the other team.

We were queuing at the same time, look even the OP said you were slow, but come on.

Oh so anyone queuing is automatically put together with other people queuing, that must be why it always takes 3-7 minutes to put together nearly the same people.

When it comes right down to it, you can be killed by anything that holds you still for a few seconds like a dragons maw, slick shoes, etc. You provide almost no support and, considering how easy you are to kill, your point holding abilities are lackluster. You also would give up any cap you might have by stealthing everyone to go for a rez.

I play bunker guard on a top team, if you want to bunker you have to provide SUBSTANTIAL outgoing healing, condition clear, give essential buffs to allies like stability, regen, vigor, and protection. You also need to be able to rez people without giving a decap.

You meet almost no criteria for a bunker role. In a 2v2 you are useless as you do not provide any damage, cc, etc.

Prove that all of my points are wrong and I’ll say bunker thief is viable, but you simply cannot fit the role. Instead you don’t provide support, you can’t 1v1, you can’t work well in 2v2s, and you fail at midfights, you are a liability.

Proof of that is that I’m still in high MMR using only bunker Thief, same as solo queue when I was top 25. Venoms provide more damage than any other bunker build kittenting out potentially 17k armor ignoring damage with 4 allies around and all 9 hits hitting, while also giving a potential 6k poison damage over 6 seconds and 15 hits of immobilize every 32 seconds with 5k healing per ally. Thief summons give 3 allies and possibly a 4th if a trap is preset for small engagements. Defenses wise it has around 1.5k HPS and around 5 seconds out of every 10 seconds of regen spent dodging if I just spammed them, condition wise it’s 1 per dodge, damaging per 20 and movement per basic dodge. Revive wise I have 30% revive speed in stealth with 25% less damage taken to both of us and it won’t decap if the point is nearly full capped. Getting hit by CC is a skill problem for most of them.

Except it’s always been viable but 99% of the playerbase isn’t good enough at watching multiple peoples animations to stay alive. Been nerfed more than it’s been buffed and even with probably the highest condition removal in the game I still die to condition spam nearly instantly in a 1 vs 1.
