I really hope you developers are reading these post and seeing how badly balance your game is right about now. I just have one question though; Does Toughness mean anything in this game any more? Because I have 3000 or so armor 1600 toughness and I am still getting hit 7000-8,900 damage from Revenant Coalescence of Ruin skill. I understand they have
Roiling mist and basically 25 stacks of might on their own.. but are you seriously telling me there is basically NO counter play to that? No matter how much health or toughness I have it seems their damage keeps scaling and if i go full bunker then i won’t even be able to deal enough damage to fight back. You need to listen to the players and make a serious change.
Did you watch ESL yesterday? This meta is about bunkering and holding the points. Anet wants to be it played this way. You cap the point and try to hold it as much longer as you can. Nobody is going for kills, the cap points win the game. Ppl are fighting for minutes on one point just to protect it. Stick to it and you win the video game too. Go for dps, kill everybody, but if you don’t capture you will never win. This happens so many game those days for me.. Half of my team is usually only fighting and nobody is going for capturing, every single random game.

Apparently you’re not supposed to take that damage. If you listen to the great folks we have here, you have to learn to dodge. Don’t forget to dodge the smashing and the drop too, then double dodge UA to only take 20%. I’m afraid that you also need to dodge the elite. Ok now double dodge UA again…
What they are trying to say is: play s/d daredevil with double energy sigils or go home.
Or, you could get a hint at those never ending zerker/marauder duels, like Revenant vs. Mesmer: Unrelenting Assault vs. Blurred Frenzy. And when they can’t attack and dodge at the same time, they just dodge, go distortion, teleport away, block… oh wait the rev got hit! Oh but it heals him!
Player A : “the game is too bursty.”
Player B : “the game is too tanky.”
Guess what? They are both right!

Evades on skills are ridiculous . They need to rebalance the invulnerability skills suchs as Obsidian skin and blurred frenzy. Obsidian skin dont even make sense… why not dmg reduction or toughness boost? you basically telling me you are invulnerable for 3 seconds from 1 skill? thats not even a utility? I can’t CC you apply conditions or stun you. Same with Stone heart.. No crits? What about Diamond skin? Cant apply conditions? where is the counter play in that other than burst class? But still that means all condition users are basically useless…. An entire build usesless now due to one trait. Of course im talking about Elementalist but there are a few skills that need to be rebalanced even before Heart of Thorns came out

HAHAHAHAHAAHA i knew there had to be a a recent thread about this.
SH/DS/Traps dont bother me since there are counters for this. Mesmers/engys/revs have some skills that really stink to me since they are passive cooldowns wtih no counters but thats another story.
I was running a Druid with soilders ammy and rune of the undead and i had over 3.3k armor yet thieves/dps mesmers/ revanents still took me out incredibly easy. Im sitting here with over 25k health cele form and my toughness couldnt be much higher. Like toughness is almost capped yet it truly feels like a empty stat.
I agree 100% about them re-looking at there stats since some of them make no sense.
