A Request for CC and SYNC
@DXIEdge on twitter.
It makes no sense for Sync to shoot themselves in the foot and kitten their OP comp.. All props go to them for coming up with the most effective cheese comp on the planet! & taking it a step further and grabbing the top players from the respective classes to play it on a level not seen before! Also why have one OP spirit ranger when you can have 2? Spirit Ranger OP! i look forward to seeing CC fight that comp, especially since they are carrying an ele to PAX.. Going to be a fun game to watch

I take issue with the bolded words. It took nothing but common sense to see that this meta was coming. Give them credit for running it effectively I guess, but the current direction of the game left little to the imagination when we were trying to guess what would come out of the recent balance patches.
I’ll be rooting for CC as underdogs fighting an uphill battle with an inferior team-comp. Fortunately, they have very good teamwork, and I hope they can overcome!
That being said, it does seem kind of funny that everyone is stuck in this mess for the sake of 10 people.
CC will just build wars the comp, if SYNC be predictable and stick to their comp till eternity.
Caed only plays assassin. Davinci only plays a guard. So that’s one thing to build wars.
Super is a Guild Wars 1 veteran and prolly knows how to build wars well. im sure he knows the exploits of Idiot Savants in GW championships in leipzig.

first of all… ele’s are still strong in my opinion (they just can’t fill every role like they could before). I’m not quite sure what is going on with mesmers because they seem to be declining in use (which isn’t saying much since its probably the most popular class in the game) but they can still 1v1 very well thanks to phantasms, chaos armor and those stun fields. I can agree with what you said about necros and spirit rangers but i think adding more condi clear could fix this. My main point is that i don’t understand why u think mesmers and ele’s are bad. most teams still use them
I would rather just wait it out a bit. Atleast they get more time to actually get it right, instead of making rushed changes.
im sure he knows the exploits of Idiot Savants in GW championships in leipzig.
Care to explain? I tried to look it up but cant find anything on the matter

I approve of this plan.

Wait for VoD, then Instant Cast+Meteor Shower + moar dps guild lord.
VS EvIL, they ran Ranger spike, then their VoD build, then their secret tactic in the end.
~40 mins.
aka, iQ weren’t predictable.

Yes, it’s no problem waiting for balance changes until after PAX. This gives ArenaNet time to thoroughly test out planned changes.
While I agree that there need to be substantial changes (and the sooner the better) the 3 weeks of more stale meta isn’t a big deal in the grander scheme.
I’d rather suffer through 3 more weeks of staleness and get what tPvP really needs after PAX which is better patches on a more frequent basis. The time between real balance patches has been far too long since launch. More than half of the time the “balance patches” don’t really address the things that need addressing and everyone has to wait until next month or the month after to get what is really needed. There was no reason why everyone should have had to suffer from insta-gib thieves, bunker eles and now condition overload for months at a time. These issues were all identified quickly in their respective times of relative imbalance, but were not sorted out until far too long after they reared their ugly heads.
On top of the stale meta issues the PvP in this game still suffers from poorly constructed basics (i.e. a solo-que that deliberately makes imbalanced matches that go 500-100 on a regular basis). It seems abundantly clear that the programming and testing resources required to get it right simply have not been given to the team that is trying to make tPvP the way it should have been before release, so unless there is a re-alignment of resources and a departure from the philosophy of giving away freebie temporary content every few weeks in order to focus on the things that actually give games longevity, a patch to fix the current state of balance isn’t going to mean anything.
