A build to counter turret engi?
Okay so i’m looking for a build of any profession with which i could kill a turret engi, but here’s the thing, i’m not looking for a broken op build like turret engi is it self, i’m looking for something fun that would actually demand skill to be played with, thanks!
I suggest you just run an extremely stability heavy modified Warrior build that has heavy cleave, and decent condition application.
Something like this:
Pros:
-53% duration to immob from the Engineer’s Net Shot & Turrets
High power for causing damage to gadgets (turrets).
Way too much stability in order to prevent being interrupted by turret knockbacks & Rifle/Crate stun.
The Engineer will no doubt sit right in the Combustive Shot all day – he’ll be near permanently burning and poisoned a fair amount from doom sigil, with the trademark Engineer low-condi-removal.
Cons:
You only have to be good enough to land your Impale and Eviscerate once and a while. If the Engineer outplays you, he could potentially still survive a long time.
Strat:
Be super aggressive towards popping turrets that are a threat (Rocket, Rifle, Flame, Net). Arcing Arrow/Axe1111 all the things with huge stability, and quickly wear the Engineer down with hybrid damage – burn, torment, poison, and AoE spam. There’s just no way in hell that your Warrior will die to an Engineer with bad condition (poison) application and no burst, so your victory’s speed will depend on how good you are at landing eviscerates/Impale (or hammer combos if you go the other route).
Enjoy.

I hate to be the one to point out, but he was bluntly saying to lube up your orifices and stop struggling vs. the turret Engineer

I’d hope he meant that it is obviously an OP build so just get used to it.
play any condi build to counter

Staff ele works well
play any condi build to counter
Agreed. Eng is extremely vulnerable to conds.

Hello frands! Vee Wee here, #1 Engi NA and world first rank 80!
Engineers have so many amazing utilities! Some utilities give amazing damage! Some utilities give amazing survivability! Some utilities can change the pace of a team fight! A turret Engineer literally takes NONE of these things and contributes absolutely nothing to a team! I’ve never seen a more worthless build ever! To answer your question, run any build!
Wahoo! Bye frands!
ive been using this to combat turret engineers

i run into there turrets and drop acid bomb on as mnany as i can then i run around them spamming bomb auto attack it takes out the turrets pritty fast and your healing is enough to make sure you come out of it unscathed, if your worried about the turrets ccing you when you kill them just dodge roll away from them and let the dodge roll bomb get the last hit to kill them so you are no longer in the way, then just use your superior amount of utility to easily dispatch a turretless engineer, your also extremely handy in team fights since you can put down heaps of healing/CC/condition damage and when you use your combos correctly you can easily burst down not so bunker classes, your also much more effective defending a point then the typical turret engineer.
zerker staff ele, soooo much AoE
melts AI in a flash but you’re very squishy to other players :P
Im usually suprised at the amount of dumb ppl engaging “turret builds”. Oh noes hes on the cap spot but i need to cap it, ill just stand in the middle of all these turrets while killing them all! Really like Veewee said Turret builds are focused on turrets, leaving the engie himself usually rather weak. At most if they have thumper turret they have 1 sec satbility and stunbreak. Other then that they can cleanse like 2 conditions every 15 sec. So yes standing on the cap point while getting shot with nets, rockets, exploding turrets or the engies rifle net/knockback is really idiotic.
I mostly play glass longbow ranger. It destroys turret engis, because I never get in range of their turrets and I can just barrage them all down anyway if I need to.
Think outside the condition-heavy melee meta. A power-based staff ele can do the same thing as Liewec mentioned.
