IMO the only thing that made traps really strong was the daze on activation that could seriously punish grouping and ressing. Without that your choices to punish and stop ressing on most of the Meta builds is limited to longbow 3 and shield 5. The weapons aoe DPS against a stationary target isn’t enough to prevent or really punish ressing. If you can’t stomp the target while a symbol is down on them before they’re ressed your kinda SOL.
I personally run burn guardian so this isn’t as much of an issue for me. AOE burns are very effective at punishing downed players and any attempting resses and ensuring a hard down. Nothing is as satisfying as coming in like a nuke on one of your own downed allies and watching 2-3 of the opponents regret going for stomp and melee cleaver first.
Best thing to do against that situation is play burn, or change to a class with heavily punishing AOE. (Warrior, Necro, Mesmer)
The ironic part is how in all the tiers prior to that it’s mainly DHs, especially stacked DHs, that are far more of a problem then Scrappers and Druids. (Neither of those I would even place near the top of problem classes.)
Obviously this is an issue of perspective…makes it really hard for Anet to know whom to cater to I imagine. (But since by definition Leg/Plat is likely to be the smaller proportion of the player base, I assume that answer is also pretty evident. For better or for worse.)

Honestly, the only thing I could think of is to switch to Symbolic with PoB trap. 2 symbols with blades should be enough power aoe to punish the rezzer even in stealth.
idk man. having a partner with decent cleave would obviously help, as would a scrapper with aoe reveal. you could sword 2 > shield 5 maybe if you can target the gyro/pet. bow 4 sword 2 with cleave seems like it would be some pretty decent pressure but idk theyre pretty tanky.
Yeah, I’ve been playing around with a few variation. PoB being one of them. Issue is, you’re sacrifising ALOT by bringing PoB making you unable to engage any 1v1.
I’ve tried switching into the S/Sh Sw/f symbolic and had some success running menders to be able to perma bunker points vs druids / scrappers. This build also works fine for teamfights.
But to be fair, I find little to no counterplay to druids / engis stealth ressing.
One solution I can think of is broaden the amount of Reveal currently in the game. But that’s going to hurt thieves and mesmers more than it’s gonna hurt druids and engis.
One other solution is having engis channeling stop whenever Elixir S pops at 25%. (The passive Elixir, not the actual utility. If you’re for some reason still running core condi engi.)
you need to be DUO que.
scrapper + gyro res is fast enough as is, but if you pop a druid in too- ohhh boyy
they will get ressed super fast.
ideally you want a DUO to cleave, necro warrior etc so you can stomp. reveal isn’t needed, either cleave + stomp or just cleave ultra hard.

stacked druid + scrapper teams are awful to fight. they are not something i see these days (holy decay put me at the bottom of bronze, but i just climbed out in like 7 games), but are awful when you get higher & players can actually play.
tbh, druid stack at top level is what DH stack is to low level.

if you want to use PoB i would run the following build. mobility is awful, but damage is excellent & it has strong 1v1. you can take GS for the AoE pull & more cleave, but i find s/f is the best option midt of the time.
