Im sorry but there has to be a way to report afkers during a match. I literally had 2 different people in multiple matches today quit on about 4 games because we fell down 100pts. The guardian couldnt just sit on home no, at the battle of khylo he sat at the start behind the wall waited for them to cap and decapped it and ran back to his spot. In another game a mesmer in said you guys are trash after we get double capped at the start of the match and literally sat. He pressed /sat at around 40-20.

I know there is a negative to giving the community some power to say hey this guy is not playing or being a poor sport. For some people it takes alot fo fun out the game when you and 1-2 friends get on and there is literally 1 person saying i dont want to try.

Report them for scamming and move on, not much else to do sadly.
I would say the issue is mainly that they don’t bother doing anything about them. They seem to want to make everything automatized, which is why they keep implementing afk sensors / systems all over the place rather than taking direct actions towards them.

I can’t remember where I saw this, but I think the correct way to report afkers is to report them for botting.

AFKers sitting idle with heal on autocast is an entirely different issue. I think that’s what you’re talking about when you say to report them for botting.

I’ve seen a lot of this – people leaving matches or going afk in ranked arena. The system seems really broken right now. I wouldn’t bother reporting them at this point. I’m not one to ragequit, but getting matched against premades over and over, or being insulted in mapchat (like being told you’re trash) can have that effect on people. I don’t blame them.

I know it’s bad form to leave/AFK, but try to see the bigger picture. This isn’t so much an issue with the community as it is with the matchmaking system. If matches weren’t so terribly and repeatedly uneven, there wouldn’t be so many AFKers or leavers.

I really wish they would rework the report tool. It should be context sensitive so that the options are always relevant to where you are, in PvP, in a dungeon, in WvW, etc. The existing options are pretty much always not suited for whatever you are reporting about.

A small text area where you could input a short message (160 characters max or something like that) would also be great as a way to add a little context regarding the report.
