AFK in matches
Well personally Im semi-mad at the half-baked player that just decides to go afk for whatever messed up reason but, Im more mad at Anet because they should’ve seen this coming and/ or should know about this considering that Anet employees actually play their own game.
So is the fact true that Anet just leaves PvP for long periods of time and hopes for the best?

Reporting does nothing and it never will. AFKers don’t bother me. Hell I do it myself when we’re down an ungodly amount and there is no way to come back because people are either 1) double and triple capping uncontested points, 2) running into the zerg, and dying, repeatedly without rotating out to something uncontested, 3) not standing in circles because everyone and their mother is zerker spec and melts instantly, or 4) road fighting instead of capping when only one point is capped.
My issue is with people that come into ranked testing new builds or unfamiliar professions. Or people that queue KNOWING that their connection is bad. I had a teammate using Amtrak wifi yesterday. Suffice it to say she was lagging incredibly bad and was useless. What did she do after that match? Queued up for another. Lastly, people that queue and willingly enter a match knowing that their time is limited and they may not finish. All of these types of people are just extremely inconsiderate.
AFKers that quit trying because a match is unwinnable due to the above antics? Whatever. It’s rarely an issue when the match is competitive. It’s the above inconsiderates that get my goat.
The way to fix this is coding a matchmaking system that produces more competitive matches and gating ranked play to those that at least have a modicum of experience in spvp. Maybe something like needing 20 wins in unranked per profession to unlock ranked for that profession.
