The guys name was Bijinoo, in guild [Haha].
We were in queue for an hour to get into the tourney, just to have the guy run out of the base and afk.
Please suspend him, or this is a warning to anyone who finds themselves in a round with him.

Personal life first man! It’s not like you lost some money or something because of him being AFK. People are AFK all the time when i do PUG tourneys, nothing new there. I guess you’re not playing pug tourneys for a long time….

Well in other games, that attempt to be eSports, you can report the individuals who afk. It can lead to a suspension or a banning. I’m just posting here about this one because I’d love to see a solution.

Getting all philosophical here, but what is money? Money is a payment for your time. Your time while doing X chore is worth Y dollars. So, as a little green man once told me “Time is money, friend”. So, although he’s not losing “money” per se, it equates to him losing the same thing. His loss is no less or greater than if he had not been paid for going to work for 1 hour.

Edit: I also suggest you removing the players name before a mod gets in here. This thread will be locked because it’s against the CoC. You can never publicly “shame” someone on the forums for any reason, because it’s character assassination.

Mostly i play Gw2 for in my free time for fun and relaxation, and certainly I’m not paid for that. If I want to be serious about gaming, I would join a team and do competitive tourneys. When there’s nothing serious about GW2 free tourneys i wouldn’t make such a fuzz about some afkers in pugs. You’ll lose that first fight (or maybe even win if other team is bad), and re-enter again.

It’s just a game after all. But i do agree that there should be some kind of punishment for paid tourneys once this becomes truly an e-sport.

But hey…this is just my opinion.
