Academy Gaming & Genyen’s Gambling Guild will be hosting a mid-season invitational for North American and European teams on Saturday, April 30th.

Featuring the best of both NA and EU regions, 8 teams will collide in a double-elimination tournament to keep up the action during the 3 week Pro League break. All teams have their eye set on the prize pool which totals to 11,750 gold.

Don’t worry, there’s plenty for the audience! We will be giving away 3,000 gold over the duration of the stream, so be sure to tune in for the event!

It was very hard to get ahold of EzPz furthermore other PL teams have told us their tendency to no show via “scrims” and we cant risk the fact that a team will no show up in this tournament.

Ez Pz hadn’t been available when searching for our eighth. We had other plans but were rushed to fill the final slot.

Sad that there is not more european teams, but looking forward to see this tournament, especially with the new meta.

Except both regions are playing and it’s far more intense than just 4 simple matchups..

If mid tier teams want to duke it out anytime, they’re always welcome to join AG weekly cups.

I don’t think it’s the right time just yet. They’re still being called “beta” maps. Maybe in the future.

You could host a serious Beta Map tournament. I’m sure having some actually competitive play in those maps would really help ANet figure out the kinks in those maps. Just saying.

As great as this concept is, seems like only Pro-League teams are actually getting in on it. As above, would have been great to see some fresh teams without cramming them into AG Weekly /justmy2c

This is pretty sweet, gives us something to watch atleast. You guys should look into doing another tournament at some point that uses core classes, it would be interesting to watch.

Do not worry my friend, but at the end of the season of PL we will host another tournament hosted in (Eu) this time to showcase the power houses of Eu and NA before the Pro League Finals. I myself will be bringing back my gambling guild to provide a huge tournament prizepool for the competing teams!
