So, I played a recent game where this happened:

One player on the losing team was upset and so he started telling the winning team where all the players were going. People reported him.

People like that better receive a ban. Otherwise, what’s the point of even having a report function?

I have reported roughly 7 people since league started.

- 5 AFKers – 4 of which called it out during a match
- 1 MMR Manipulation (he called it out during a match that he would run in circles)

0 Bans from ANET since I blocked them all and I see them every other day.

I think the report function directs reports to the garbage can.

Can confirm. To my knowledge no one has been banned for match manipulation or afking. Someone on Reddit has even tested it. It’s very bad for the game because it encourages the people who do it. Also, if you’ve just reached a new division and drop a game it should say -1 pip. Simple as that. Throwing matches has been fixed. Could have prevented a whole lot of grief this season.

We absolutely need an in-game report feature like every other E-Sports game has… it takes 0 moderation for a system to receive X amount of votes to kick/ban a player..

Well, I know of one person who got suspended for afking/trolling, but I submitted a ticket when it happened. I haven’t heard of anyone being successful via in game reports.

Unfortunatelly, one can troll, use very offensive language, lose in purpose, etc., and even if the other 9 players report this player with proof in log chat, nothing will happen.
I said many times here in the forum that this kind of behavior makes people give up on pvp, but anet does nothing.

The level of toxic players has probably tripled since i started playing this game a few years ago. Its still OK now as long as -everybody- blocks them, but its going to get to a point that the toxicity feeds off itself. And lemme tell ya, it aint just pvp

Prehaps the team were being terribad ?

I mean sometimes all hope is lost – when its obvious there is < 10% win chance.
