AOE targeting perplexities
Totally agree, mesmers and necros with their summons are way too adventaged if we use this kind of targeting system.
probably my biggest issue in this game is AoE target caps.
if you aoe you should hit every enemy in the area, its simple.
if the enemy team all clump up then they deserve the punishment,
if they play minion master then they deserve the punishment.
this would solve all of our issues with ai spamming builds.
people might say that noone would use anything other than AoE,
but there aren’t many classes/specs with effective+spammable AoE (and one of those is LB warrior, which are already spammed)
Well I cant say do this or that, make AoE unlimiter, or punish summoners, BUT something must be changed… I atempts for promoting support builds, changes here and there, probably they’ve done that for PvE, unlimited targeting will be too much in there, but sPvP is a another story.. I Puppet master is enough actualy to negate every AoE since he has more then 4 mobs available (if I’m not wrong, i havent played it)

Because you should be able to siege a keep with melee. That’s just pure historical accuracy, right there.
Agreed, while I find merit in keeping an AOE cap in WvW, I see no use of it for spvp/tpvp, they have been able to nerf/buff things for just pve/wvw in the past, why not look into at least allowing a larger cap, if not zero caps for AoE in at least the pvp setting.
Pets should count as part of 1 player. Necro + Minions equals one player.
I see no response, and I keep playing vs 2-3 puppet master every second game…
I’d feel more sympathy if AOEs in this game weren’t as strong as single target attacks. Finally something offsets the aoe spam on the kitten circles you’re forced to stand in. >_>:

Well, yeah. This game has developed into cheese versus cheese, don’t hate me for that. But AOE doesn’t need “buffed” because something finally counters lobbing all your aoes onto a circle people are forced to stand on. Don’t hate the players, hate the game (mechanics).

i am really tired of being an ai class only. i dont get why anet turned the gw2 mes into a pet class that should clearly be a medium armor class.
