Abjured will be undefeated
VS the EU teams? I dont know how the playoffs work, i really hope there is more then 4 teams going because that its the worst finals ever but Rank 55 and Vermilion have always been there with TCG and ORNG but all of them are kids.
NA lost some players because of the age restriction and the fact every team trades players left and right like jock straps. Like Apex had there reasons to get rid of OE but Tarcis wasnt playing very well on necro and OE had his moments on it but NA teams have no stability.

lets not forget about the NA drama. Oh lord the drama.
rage quit anyone?
The Abjured are winning every game in every meta for a long, long time now. I don’t think this is about comp specifically (although it can not hurt them). They are simply better players who are used to play together. Sure, they can prefer some metas (as regular players), but in general they just adapt and still win.
if no more balance patches take place
nos and toker were winning on thief and necro against aids double mes/rev. going to be funny now. engi will be the best bruiser and either phantaram/wakkey will most likely pick up druid
rip another season
aids double mes/rev? New cancer would be thief / necro.
Pain Train Choo [Choo]
Mind Smack – Mesmer
They won all the time before.
It will be the same like before patch. Player/Teamplay skill thats all that counts.
The most typical difference between EU and NA in a “balanced” meta is that EU has mesmers and NA has necros. All other classes are rather even between both regions.
So this finale will be obviously NA >> EU

Sad but this is true.
So far class > skill, as proven by the skilless mesmer/rev meta we just had, and the emerging reaper/thief/scrapper meta.

Didn’t they stack four elementalists a couple of seasons ago? And people say that ele is a dead class lol! They offer mobility, excellent combo fields and can trigger said fields with blast finishers, and on top of that have aurasharing so ele I don’t think is going anywhere.
Of course Toker was winning on thief, his understanding of when to disengage and when and where to rotate elsewhere makes him perhaps the greatest thief in Guild Wars history.

I disagree strongly. You need skill to make the most of a class and if there’s a clearly objectively best comp then many teams will face each other running those comps.

Good teams at any level, particular the highest level of competitions are not good due to their comps, anyone can play the same comp if they choose. They are good because they know the classes, how to use it, how to counter others, and perhaps most importantly are accustomed to playing together and understand how their teammates play. All things being equal facing the same comp and skill level, that knowledge and trust of each other is what makes them better, not their comp.
Of course skill is a factor, but in a team game its team skill, not individual, that matters. One player no matter how good cannot beat 5 and control a match with different points and objectives, it simple cannot be done unless the opposing team is just flat terrible, and that wont be the case in any of these teams so the skill level in most cases at that level will be fairly comparable.
Other teams trying so many diff specs and rosters to try to beat them are playing into their hands really… what they should be doing is committing to it, learning each other better, and get on the same level in that sense as opposed to trying to counter them or run gimmicks.

Strawman argument right there, people! So basically let me get this right, you are saying that in a time before HoT hit, eles were [rightly] OP, but somehow, after HoT hitting, and literally removing the only thing that made eles viable, while buffing everyone else, that the class is not dead?
Do you not see the poor logic in your argument?! A LOT has changed since the 4 eles meta…. how is that an argument to how poor the state of eles are?!
So just because we had a bunker mesmer meta a while ago that means in this patch they are not dead?!
honestly…..

I mean there are mechanics within the class that are useful so they’ll never really be underpowered. Try generating a burn or chill combo field with a thief. As for mesmer they have polymorph, portal, and alacrity.
I think people are getting overly dramatic about nerfs while ignoring the good their classes still have. The removal of celestial just means they’ll have to commit more to a certain role.

I don’t know what is the current state of the elementalist, but I used to main one back in the day, so I want to reply to your point. The profession had 2-3 peaks of popularity since launch, and both were tightly tied to two things: strong access to boons and healing & ability to slot in a wide array of stats. Before celestial was buffed at the time, elementalists were out of meta. And before elementalists were out of meta at that specific point of time, their healing/ cleansing traits were yet unnerfed and they could slot in valkyrie amulet + zerker jewel + the old divinity runes, which was the closest thing to celestial stats back then (outside of celestial itself, which was underpowered).
The reason for why the profession is so reliant on so many stats is simple:
1. most of the elementalist’s active defenses rely on healing (heal spells) or toughness/ vitality (auras). They have less evades and less blocks than your average profession, they have the lowest hp/ toughness of them all, and they lack any defensive profession mechanic like stealth or clones+stealth.
2. most of elementalist’s damage is hybrid, so it relies both on power and condition damage. The exception was/ is scepter burst eles, but for those, weakness #1 is even worse.
In other words, the profession is broken. It can’t deal good damage without heavy investment in stats. It can’t defend itself without heavy investment on stats. And it can’t have both because celestial is out.
But I don’t play ele anymore, so I have no idea what their current state is nor if the new amulets help it out or not. However, I doubt the profession has changed that much for years.
honestly who cares? – This game is so far gone I’d be embarrased to call myself a “pro” player.
I feel bad for EU tho.
China will win it all… mark my words… the dragon will rise…..
Now that i lightened up the mood…. Na > All.

Who makes the meta game? The Abjured. Why? Because they win. Why do they win? Because they play like a well oiled machine. Everyone understands their role and play it perfectly. Meta can change. This is an RPG Rock/Paper/Scissor is the way its played that will never change. So I guess at its base… The Abjured is just really really really good at timing together Rock/Paper/Scissor LOL! They will go down in GW2 history as the best team ever.

Not many people remember Team Paradigm. They were pretty dominant as well.
