Today I experienced something very annoying. I am seriously shocked how people can play this game mode and I am not surprised at all that everybody is now Guardian, Warrior or Engineer.

This is some kind of being totally not fair towards elementalists.
I am mostly talking about Stronghold game mode but also this appears to have its mechanics in Conquest.

Several months ago you nerfed elementalists so We cannot summon Hero while using Obsidian Flesh skill, the one that gives you invulnerability.
Also when you use this skill you’re stopping the process of capturing a point in Conquest which means – When you fight and you struggle so you click your Obsidian Flesh skill, you see that your opponent is getting the point, and you’re losing it despite the fact that you’re standing on it.

Today my opponent who was a warrior used his first invulnerability skill while summoning a Hero. I wouldn’t care, because I had my stuns ready but once his first skill was gone he used next one and succeeded. Both of teams had the same number of points but after he did what he did, we’ve lost the match – Yes, it was in overtime.

It seems like warriors also can capture points with these kind of skills and they’re completely happy running towards everybody using their invulnerabilities while I am scared to click my Obsidian Flesh because my point is then decapturing.

You’d say it’s just a moments, several seconds, but sometimes that decides about match score.

Anet seriously?

Nerf them all or nerf nobody at all and give us our Obsidian Flesh back. It’s so kittening that the same types of skills are working different, because you clearly didn’t see how and where you nerf….

If all you’re seeing is Warriors and Engineers… then all you’re seeing are the worst two classes in the game. They’re not significantly weaker, since the game is fairly balanced, but there’s very little reason to take a Warrior over a Reaper or a Scrapper over a Druid.

In terms of actual stats elementalists are the strongest build in the game, they are just vulnerable to condi builds. Engis are immortal but they are very low impact, though they bring insane condi clear.

I have zero problems with invuln yielding points. This game does NOT need I win buttons with no counterplay. Eles are meh 1v1, get wrecked by condis and are by far the best healers but are toughness bots who invalidate every single power build in the game solo. I don’t like them being so cyclic in balance, but that’s how it is.

Warriors without their invuln are trash and get bodied by most classes. If you can survive their ten-17 seconds then they are a free kill.

Lol. I saw many great eles who kitted me to death. If you are bad at a class doesnt mean you need to spread this crap. Instead practice more. And if you dont like PVP, dont play it dog. Noone will miss you there. No one cares that you won’t be crying in mathes how someone is better than you.

I think the OP wants Endure Pain to prevent capture point contribution. If it did, I think you would have to give them immunity to control effects to compromise. No thanks.

But Endure Pain isn’t complete immunity to “all” effects. You still suffer from conditions as well as lifesteal on hit, etc, which Obsidian Flesh, from what i remember at least, negates too.

But Endure Pain isn’t complete immunity to “all” effects. You still suffer from conditions as well as lifesteal on hit, etc, which Obsidian Flesh, from what i remember at least, negates too.

I think that’s pretty much it. Skills that grant you total immunity from anything landing – Obsidian Flesh, Renewed Focus, Distortion – prevent capture point contribution and the like. Defenses that have some counterplay, however awkward that might be, do not.

To those who think Scarlet hate means she’s succeeded as a villain:
People don’t hate Scarlet like Game of Thrones fans hate Joffrey.
They hate her the way Star Wars fans hate Jar Jar Binks.

Elementalists aren’t weak to condition builds. Elementalists are weak to boon-hate builds. That’s why Necromancer is always the counter-meta to Elementalists, not because it brings conditions, but because it preys on boons.
