Super excited about this happening. The response from stream was amazing and so much interest has been shown already.

Free Agents we have room for you as well! Players who are interested in doing tournaments but do not have a team we are actively helping players form teams for these events.

We have a guild Academy Gaming [AG] set up for players who are either new to the scene or are just looking for like minded players that are short a team as well.

After seeing so many negative people in the game trying to ruin it for others, you have got to respect the people that take it upon themselves to do something for the community. We need more of this!

This will give guildwars2 a whole new way of letting players get to know eachother. Which will raise the community of gw2 much higher and people who didn’t feel that they were good enough to get on a team will now have hope. This will raise the spirits. I think that The twitch community is doing a great job on helping the whole guild wars 2 community and letting players get together in a whole new way.

This is an amazing idea because everyone gets to be apart of the fun. I only have a few close friends online that play this game, and when Karma announced this on stream with you, I was really excited. I can join a team and get better with them over the next few weeks.

I’m also very excited to see more PvP being streamed. The combat in this game with all the different classes is extremely exciting to watch.

This is so exciting! A guild purely dedicated to pvp, with rewards for the people who work hard and deserve it! It’ll be so good to have people in a guild to team up with, and be accountable, rather than feeling to need to kick others from the team for off days. Haveing a guild team makes you a little more accountable and empathic, instead of elitist int eh bad sense of the word. Looking forward to seeing how it goes! Awesome idea!

All tournaments are free to enter. I just updated the post with this.

The preview tournament was a lot of fun. I couldn’t believe how fast you got 100 people to agree to do a solo Q / free agent tourney so fast.

The free agent tourney was a blast and the teams were pretty evenly split for fun games. I hope there’s more that I can sign up for!

Thank you! It was 50, but even so, we got 50 people involved in a solo queue tournament and on teamspeak within 90 minutes. It was amazing to watch and something we plan on doing bi-weekly.

We’ve got some other exciting things on the way, so spread the word!

This sounds like great stuff, guys. I think it addresses two of the biggest issues – finding a team and the sense that there’s no point in trying since the “usual” tournament winners are just too good.

We had to host it on Ferox’s stream tonight as Karma was unable to make it and my Internet was a bit wacky when streaming.

Ya found it after 40 minutes in.

Suggestion: Update this post or the website with the correct stream when changed/ both?
Everyone I was asking just thought the stream got canceled.

I apologize for that. I was told only a few hours before that Karma would be unable to make it and was struggling to find a suitable host since my stream wasn’t doing so well in terms of my Internet.

I will be sure to update it in the future if it changes!

Karma happened to be ill and it was not streamed due to this.

We are putting in a new rule in which any suspicion towards players using alt accounts will result in an automatic disqualification from that event and a permanent ban from all other future AG events. This will be taken very seriously without any second chances. All players that are associated with the rule breaking are also banned due to their knowledge of who they are playing with.

There will be no weekly 5v5 tournament this Saturday, 1/10. Plan on them starting again next Saturday.

Not sure if I should ask it here, but——how has the showdown with DoD impacted you guys? I watched you guys played against Ellusive and I liked all your builds, really brought new air to the meta. It’s a pity that DoD got lucky yesterday

The team isn’t necessarily associated with AG. I created AG (with Karma, of course) and decided to just take the name with me to make a team for ESL cups. I believe in the future there is a possibility the name will be changed to better suit the entire team once a roster has been established.

DoD is a very strong team and we both had subs for those matches. I don’t think they got lucky, I think they just played better and hopefully once both have our full rosters there will be some good games between us!

The tournament structure has been changed.

We are no longer allowing for individuals who have participated in that week’s previous ESL Weekly Cup to participate nor are we allowing any individual deemed as “over qualified” to participate. The tournament is aiming toward lesser practiced teams.

Tournament signups for tomorrow’s 5v5 weekly are open. Make sure you read the updated rules.

There will not be a tournament this Saturday.

Rule change for solo players is a real bummer. Understandable, but a bummer. This was the only tournament I ever considered doing too.

In the future I may reopen them if I can find a reliable way of assuring players show up (which I think I may have).

Once again, there will be no AG weekly this Saturday, February 7th, due to the WTS qualifier.

I believe it was due to their not being one last week or this upcoming week. I am also at a standstill with tournament funding seeing as my partner has now seemingly left GW2. If I am unable to get funding for them they will no longer be continued.
