For people who don’t want to PvE to get the elite specs for their character, please add the option to get hero points from PvP and WvW achievements. Personally as a PvPer, I’d try WvW maybe raids too if I didn’t have go through the entire PvE content to get a proper build(get the elite spec).

Well in sPvP players get alot of very nice rewards and such. With the absolutely minimal effort, just for showing up in sPvP. So he don’t even want to put any effort towards earning Hero Points as well.

Me personally got 7 out of my 9 elite specs. from HoT land can go from 0 to 250 in less then 3 hours per a toon, and if you bring a friend or two along under a hour and 30 minutes.

You can just do the easy HPs in the HoT maps and get the rest by zerging around in WvW for 2-3 hours. All in all unlocking an espec should take you about 5-6h if you don’t slack.

It gets old when you have to do the same stuff on multiple classes though.

Well I didn’t bring up Ascension, I said a Legendary back piece, because you know a item where you can change the stats on the fly is way more helpful to a WvWers then a sPvP who don’t need the stats.

Also you must don’t really play WvW, if at all. If you try just sitting in a keep and get kicked out of squad, you’ll earn one more maybe two more rewards from track. Even while out there actively roaming or soloing rewards track rewards in WvW are much slower to come by then, simple afking during a sPvP match.

I just want a Legendary Back Piece item to be available for WvWers, just like it is in grindfest sPvPers. Just like you want Hero Points that you’ll, actually will not use if you truely hate WvW and PvE. But I know ANet will not give us WvWers that soo yeah, good luck on those hero points.

I wouldn’t protest against the idea of a WvW legendary backpiece option because it opens up more options, I’m not against progression or anyone acquiring what they want in a game. I don’t see the difference between building a legendary or buying a legendary nor do I care how others acquired thiers, people are happy which mean the game is one step closer to thriving.

All I do is WvW and PvP across 24 characters, it’s not very fun having 7000 hours up my sleeve and still only having a few character elites unlocked due to the slow grind of WxP. I used to be able to switch between any class I wanted for any build situation I needed for WvW.
You spoke as WvW took effort to progress the track but you caught on it’s the same as PvP. And you’re probably right I would get kicked out of a squad if I zerged.

You didnt realise what I said, Im talking dat as it is now ppl trying all content bcs they want smtng but if we could get every skin\weapon\backpiece\hp\etc in every mode pvp\wvw\pve\fractals then player base will be separated in those groups pvp\pve\wvw and then Anet will need to rebalance speed of how fast ppl can achieve what they want.

You don’t seem to understand that allowing people to earn everything they want doing a particular game mode they enjoy actually helps the game and other game modes in it. I might be convinced to do more pve and WvWvW if I could make my character competitive in those modes by doing spvp only. Since I can’t I won’t play those modes. Many of people are like me.

I understood what you said but you’re arguing cosmetics over class mechanics…. You might aswell say McDonalds has the best pizzas in town.

I’m 100% for grinding certain aspects of certain game modes for certain cosmetics, a set up like this is needed for all players to show off their achievements.

What we’re trying to say though is that class mechanics should be available to those who play PvP, the whole concept of Elites was character progression by playing your character but yet in PvP you could play your character for 2000 hours and progress no where as opposed to a new player unlocking everything in 3 hours because he followed a HoT train and spammed 1.

Just like ol’mate said, it’s hard to enjoy these other aspects of the game when you you’re already behind the rest of the group, All the classes I have unlocked so far out of my 24 toons have all been WvW build focused characters, support Ele, support guard and so forth… I can’t play support builds into PvE without getting flamed so I don’t.

People are right, you don’t need HP in PvP, that’s because it’s trying to level the playing field as much as possible, and that’s called balancing… Is it fair that a players progression is hindered by a faulty game design around balancing? no it’s not.

A HP reward track wouldn’t be a bad idea, not that it’s necessary, just if people wanted to farm hero points then it would be fine. Why somebody who doesn’t want to do PvE or WvW wants hero points is confusing. You don’t need hero points if you only play PvP. You have all traits and abilities unlocked, if you have HoT then Elite is unlocked too. I’d see the addition of a HP reward track to be useful to someone who spends time in PvP but also plays either PvE, WvW or both.

I have 4 elite specs unlocked, I dread thinking about going into HoT to unlock more. I do want to unlock more elite specs, but I just can’t stand grinding more HoT PvE, and I certainly don’t want to run around in WvW using any inferior baseline og classes.

I would love to have a reward track that allows me to work hero points in PvP. This way I can have fun playing the new elite specs, learn about them, and work towards unlocking them. It won’t hurt anything to have this really, it would only encourage people to play multi-modes.

You want things that only applies in PvE land and WvW. Then go into those game modes and get them. I want a Legendary Back piece for just WvWing which I would actually use as equipment and not just some skin, but I realized that the only way for me to get one since GW2’s sPvP is now completely out of the question, is from Fractals. As much as I dislike doing PvE in MMOs I have came to terms with it, and now has a personal level of 60, 40 more to go.

Believe it or not, some of us would not like to suffer through the event grind in those frustrating pve maps just to do raids. It’s wildstar alll over again with the “hey guys let’s bring attunements back because why not lol obviously everyone loved it the first time kek”

You can get the HP to unlock the elite spec in PVE in around an hour.

It would be nice if a Dev could comment about this topic.
