As always, the few ruin it for the many. Possibly the algorithm could be adjusted to not team you with blocked players. I don’t mind killing them, just don’t want to be on same team.

Actually that could be the solution, if the 10 people are gathered for the game, the blocked ones will be on the enemy team.

That way nobody would block good players.

Also if a player is blocked by 6 man, therefore can’t be in the enemyteam because math, those blocks will be ignore who block more (eg player A blocks 2 guys, player b blocks 200 guys, player B will be ignored) that way people won’t block to much

This just lets you make sure the other team gets bad players, either way it’ll get abused. This is worse because as more people block players over skill level (which is really all the feature would be used for) the less number of people there would be in queue. Everyone will just end up with 1hr+ q times

If that’s the case, I agree with ithilwen. I hope I never have you on my team. If you’re willing to ruin the game for the rest of your team because you don’t like someone. Should be stiff dishonor penalty against people who intentionally afk at start of match. Either grow up or pick a different game.

This one either. people blocking other people does look like a good idea at first to try and eliminate trolls, afks and all that. I dont think many ppl especially at Blizzard expected it to be used to block players because of skill. It just seems obvious now that it happened.

They should just lower the timer which kicks players out if they don’t move, and give longer dishonors for dc or afk players. If 4 members of team report player as idle player, they should automatically give that player a warning and if it happens again, lets say in 72 hours he/she would get dishonor as same amount as deserting players.

No other changes would be needed. Except solution to how to prevent salty players not to exploid reporting player without reason.

It’s ok AllNightPlayer, just don’t let players like Ithilwen get you down. Do what I so now, only play sPvP in GW2 till you either finish your dailies, or go into the daily lobbies to finish your dailies.

Then are so many better sPvP games on the market that has balanced, fun, and competitive matches. No need to get your self in a bunch over this game’s grind based – skill less sPvP ranked system.

Enjoy GW2 for what it is. A casual PvE MMO with a small slice of sPvP and RvR support. Don’t get mad for what GW2 is not, a dedicated, balanced RvR, or sPvP MMO. Go with the flow and you’ll find GW2 can be pretty fun actually. Just avoid the players with can’t tell their right hand from their left hand when trying to PUG end game content. That’ll also get you heated real fast.

Would be abused. People would either block all bad players or all good players to have easy matches. It might work if limited to lets say 5-10 people. But more opens room for abuse.

I really hope Anet reads your post and give you an indefinite Dishonor.

I’d say some really harsh things about the effect players like you have on the PvP community, but I’m sure there’s enough threads about it already.

That way every is happy. People wanting to play pvp can get a full team and you guys can catch a cool flick.

Rage much lately? Dude I don’t even really play in GW2 sPvP anymore. As if you read my post you’d see that. Also bro I’m a main core member on a actually Smite sPvP eSports clan. We actually have a pretty big chance at making the tournament next year and compete for that 10 Million USD prize. Just saying bro. I’m sorry I’m not a sadist or a masochist like your self. I honestly don’t even know why people like you get mad at people like me anymore? Seems like GW2 is the last place you can go for easy wins from being carried by others.

If you are mad because I don’t want to be partied with you because, you are one of THOSE players who sit in 3 DH’s traps and instantly die 7 times or more the entire match. Then bro maybe MMO pvp is not for you and you should stop wasting other peoples time by acting like a potato in matches. Or like you have a major dysfunction of the brain. Or maybe you can actually see things from our stand point of getting into a match where the enemy team has good to great people and our team has just 3 useless feeders who will not listen to anything you say to them. (IE. Dude don’t go home, help us at mid or rotate home and far if and when needed.)

And actually it been a very long time since I’ve stopped trying in a match (not afk, clearly at my PC, just no longer focus on the lopsided match) I think it’s been about 15 to 25 matches ago which is about maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago. So again I don’t even know why people like you are even crying about people like myself.

People like you are mostly the reason I don’t touch unranked or ranked queues in this game. Pretty much stick to either the daily lobbies, or do pvp duels and or events in the guild arena. Much more entertainment value then fixed ranked and unranked matches. And plus requires much more skill because you can’t rely on a dumb amulet system for gimping your opponents builds. Or a highly biased match maker. So the chances of you even getting me as a team mate, if you played 500 plus matches a day for 5 months straight in ranked and unranked queues is more then likely less then %5. If I somehow become super unfortunate to get you as a team mate the chances of me not trying to said match is more the likely below %1 unless IRL or people just acting like trolls on my team.

Dude you’re the one defending a player who afk’s at the START of a match because he/she doesn’t like one person on the team. If you can’t see how that is immature, unsporting, and reeking of entitlement than we are miles apart.

There plenty of players that I’ve encountered in matches that I don’t like or are just plain terrible at the game. But I’m not going to screw over the other 3 ppl on my team because of it. Sure, if the match turns into a major cluster, I have no problem with ppl leaving but at the start?

You seem to be of the mindset that everyone in the game needs to ensure you have a great experience every match. That your needs are more important than everyone else on your team. I think that if you’re going to queue for a team game, you should be a team player.

Yes, the quality of players can be extremely variable in matches especially unranked. But when I queue for a match in unranked, I at least have that understanding so I don’t throw a hissy fit if I don’t get my way.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to have expectations of fielding a full team at the start of a match. I get frustrated by bad players and team make ups but it’s not that hard to at least give it a go. I’ve seen too many matches where people either quit or afk because they didn’t get the map they wanted, didn’t like the team comp, or for various other reasons.

It would be nice if they had a better matchmaking system so that you have people of the same skill on your team. But logistically that may be hard to do

Unfortunately the abuse potential of this is too much and too obvious as mentioned by many people above.
