Hm… Oblivious thief player? Or clever non-thief player indirectly asking anet to address these issues? (In case its the former, yes thieves are afforded special raid-boss balance status but even then obviously its an exploit. And in case of the later; well said ; )

IMHO that is an exploit, because you use a map-design-mistake and have an advantage. The other team has no chance to stop you from killing the lord.

I dont know why ANet doesnt fix that or say something about that issue (there are other threads about this topic).
Hope that will be fixed with next patch too – its simple unbalanced.

There was a fix a few patches back that was intended to fix this (you used to be able to bypass gates at either base by targeting the underside of the bridge over said gate), so I would say this is clearly an exploit.

Ah so they only managed to fix the Waterfall gate i guess? I only discovered this yesterday. I hope they adress this soon. It’s gamebreaking and there are teams that use this!

Imagine how long they have been using it already!

Became aware of this when I saw a thief teleport off the ground and into the clock tower last night. Not gonna lie quite pissed me off and needs to be fixed ASAP. What is it with this class

You exploit as soon as you go in stealth.

PvP in GW2 is all about who exploit, bug abuse and cheat the most. You can only use a cheesy, cookie-cutter or OP spec in PvP else you will simply be useless, dead and helping the other team.

I want to remind everyone that it’s not a thief-only problem. Anyone with a teleport (guardians, mesmers and eles) can basically do this.

Also, the clocktower trick is pretty old (to get inside from the ground) and is definitely not as gamebreaking as this one imo. That said, i remember devs using shadowsteps in the beta to get on the roof, from inside the tower. So like i said, it’s allowed to a certain extent.

I don’t even think the gate bypassing is a super huge deal (4 classes can do it). It’s up to them to allow it or not. But currently, only one base has this weakness, and that’s definitely a problem.

Tried to delete the thread and help Arenanet but it doesn’t work. Only my main post was deleted. Apologies everyone. I assume they have read it tho. So they will probably adress the issue.
