Amazing Grace of Healing Capabilities
Nah, everyone having a healing skill is one of the best aspects of this game’s combat system.
With other games there is an artificial timer on fights whereas here the fight continues until the better player comes out on top or someone makes a mistake. After playing this game and going to others, without adequate self healing it feels very awkward to move out of the damage and kite only to find there’s essentially no point and you end up ramming heads until one drops.
Self healing skills give great potential for come backs and adds more depth to the flow of fights.

What will happen if we double the cooldowns of all healing skills?
What will happen if we reduce the base healing of all healing skills?
What will happen if we remove the all healing skills?
Since Anet doesn’t want to split skills for pve and pvp: what will happen is that anet has to change EVERYTHING in pve….
From dungeons, to fractals, to open world content, to raids… everything!
These healing skills are essentially for pve content, we need the ability to get back our health reliably there. No chance they are going to change this.
And I like it the way it is. Like you said, there are many games out there that don’t let you heal back like gw2. Play these then, the ability to heal back on your own will stay in gw2.

SO~ Only Raid need to Heal. Heal because of Raid ~
Heal make crazy team balance.
Solo Get out or Good luck.
Raid Kill PvP.
2% ppls content kill 98%ppls content.
Raid kill GW2.
Well done!
Team have ele vs Team not ele.
A.net~ May I have a ele in every matchs!?
No. You need to become a ele.

I was speaking about PvE in general, not raid. If you run things like the new HoT maps solo, don’t you think you kinda need your healing skill? And even if you don’t yourself, there are enough players who actually do.
And you think PvP is 98% ppls content? I remember Anet stating that their players “love PvE”. It sounded to me like most players play PvE instead of PvP or WvW. And I would assume that Anet knows the exact numbers kinda better than everyone of us.
Anet had a vision for this game: everyone should be able to play every role he wants to with the profession he wants to. This includes being a tank, being a healer, being a damage dealer (direct or condi damage). I think this is a good thing, which will get improved with upcoming elite specs.
In other games, you cant go back to your full health again and again and again.
In Guild Wars 2, you can go back to your full health again and again and again.
Wrong. I can’t kill anyone in other games because they have healers.

HOT map is easy. Careful to dodge. Healing is not necessary and PVE just need more more ppls. No skill just need number. Tank Heal DPS is design for Raid only.
Well, Tank Heal DPS PvP. I know a SUPER boring game like this. YEP ,the name is World of Warcraft.
People actually die fairly easy in this game with coordination at the moment. We are months past that awful bunker meta of pvp season 1. I don’t think its fun game play at all to have 1v1 fights that are over in five seconds.
Gw2 has always had healing skills. Gw2 used to have more death. What changed are defensive traits being too effective.
This is one of the more asinine things I’ve ever read, especially since you used WoW as an example. WoW is notable for having had 20-30 minute long arenas (dampening comps will do this) which are simply 30 minutes of a 3v3.
That’s 30 minutes without a death.
Dedicated healers, if peeled for, will indefinitely stave off death.
GW2 has fairly quick kill times with coordination, especially since the game doesn’t end on the first death. Your writing is goofy, but your point is much goofier. Honestly ridiculous.
