I think I would like to see something like 1200 healing power 900 vitality and 900 power, so low hp classes can play a healing spec if they wish so. I think it’s pretty deadly for ele to go cleric atm, since the burst is crazy.

Reason: Low HP classes could honestly use a “Marauder” version for hybrid DPS, as most times with no toughness, 11k HP these days just isn’t going to cut it.

It’s for shout war or medi guardians. Currently cele engi becomes way OPer (in terms of dmg, they do more dmg than before, as well as having good toughness and healing from cele) but the difference is that cele engi benefits from both condi and direct dmg cuz their weapon skills mostly have both 2 dmgs, but for melee like war and medi guard, we don’t have condi dmg on most of our weapons skills. That is why amulet like zealot is highly in need.

The thread is like saying “They took away our lobster, so let’s ask them for some frogs”.
The issue is not with amulets, it’s with player controlled pool of attributes that we can add similar to old traitlines fashion without their limitations (specific stats tied to specific line).
What we should have is a pool of 1400 attribute points from which we can selects stats freely, each stat capped at 300 however.
Why 1400? Because each line offered 2 stats, 300 value each when maxed out. So 2 full lines + one third’s equal in attrubutes.
If they solve the problem building around that idea then we can talk about fix…for this one issue at least.

Basically what most are saying, 4 trait amulets.
1200 condi, 800 prec, 500 toughnes, 500 vit
I’d rather just have a 2, 3, or 4 item stat system instead of a 1 item stat system for PvP…

Some classes need this really bad. Currently they need to spam like 20 keys in a single second to kill someone and this is bad for their finger joint in a long run. With this new Amulet they can enjoy the game in a relaxing mode.

Remove all amulets. Revert to full customisation pve/wvw exotic level armor and weapons for pvp.
I would like to see stats broken over multiple items to allow us to mix and match.

This is highly needed for most melee classes especially medi guard and shout war becuz melee doesnt have condi in most weapon skills while dd cele ele and cele engi benefits perfectly from celestial becuz they have both direct and condi dmg in their weapon skills.

My dream would basically be all different 4-stat combinations that include 560 vitality AND 560 toughness.
Each build would benefit from a different stat combo. So they should add all the pve ones and reintroduce Jewels beside Amulets to restore the ability of mixing stats now that the trait stats are gone.

The amulet system is holding PvP back. We either need a lot more amulets, more customization over their stats, or a change to PvE style gearing (and, of course, balance it).
I have been excited about this new specialization patch, but it really exposed how flawed the amulet system is. For example, elementalists post-patch have 11,645 hp if they don’t use +vit amulet or runes (and I think guardian is the same? though they have +vit trait), this feels very limiting. I understand you want the game to be simple and I like that, but I think the amulet system is one of the least polished parts of PvP right now.

I personally juat want that anet just give us all 1200+(900*2)=3000 points where we can freely put into any attribute we want to develop, rather than current amulet systrm. But it should not allow putting no more than 1200 point into one attribute though. Becuz if we can put all 3000 points into power, people might die by just one hit. Lol

Your idea sounds good too. I hate talking about Gw1 so much because nobody knows what I’m talking about and just thinks I’m crazy haha. The smaller, more controlled numbers in Gw1 were a great foundation for balance. But here they decide kitten it we want to appeal to “those other mmo players”…let us have 80 levels, hp varying by tens of thousands, damage numbers all over the place, RNG, procs, crits, hey we’re building a great game here boys…
