An unspoken of issue regarding solo q
it took them like like, half a year to make a leader board and implement ‘paid tournaments’
good luck with that preare match
You can still reroll during that 1.30 min wait time.
This 1 min. 30 sec. are to talk about tactics and change builds in the meantime. Use this time, and know more than one class with one build.
just log on other character when setup is bad
soloq v. soloq is fine and interesting. It creates the potential of great single-player actions, which is rarely seen in premades v. premade. So the soloQ for me, should stay random. Besides that you can adapt your build/change character if it not fits into the comp.

I hope you understand, that sometimes, some ppl, like me, have like 1 min. loading time to the Mists and another 15 sec loading to the match, so it gives them zero opportunity to change anything. And i am not even mentioning the fact that many ppl come to the match just 10 sec before it begins..

I don’t know why ppl have problems with this. You play soloQ and get matched with randoms together, lik in the old Random-Arena in GW1. If you want a perfect setup then build a team.
than upgrade your floppydrive – we have 2013

I don’t have a problem with this, i agree with you that a solo que is fun, because it is more unpredictible and more single-player skill based. I just wanted to say that it is not that easy to reroll for me and that an implementing of some kind of a pregame screen somewhere in the far future will be a nice thing.

I’ve seen people reroll and form perfect setups like that, but I don’t reroll myself (and given my sluggish loading, I too question if I’d make it back in time). I dare say that as long as you get people with brain, a win is not out of reach even in the funkiest of setups (e.g. 4 necros), as long as you’re playing it smart and aren’t facing a tryhard premade.
Idk about others, but I find soloq ok (when it’s actually working as intended) because
1) you aren’t forced into particular builds, nor strategies
2) it can actually be pretty intense when paired up with solid team mates, and facing solid solo que opponents, and this isn’t limited to 1v1 at all
3) don’t need to no-life the game, or abide by specific play schedules
4) quick access to at least somewhat organized format with at least a minimum of team play (although that is very situational)
5) playing vs overwhelming and well-coordinated opponents (which I like calling tryhards) is annoying – it makes you wanna beat them, but for that you normally first need to actually try and improve, then find/form a good team, practice loads with them to get the synergy going, and all that needs a lot of time and effort, which brings me back to point 3. Though in all honesty, if the pvp actually made fun, more people would consider doing that.
6) this pvp has absolutly nothing going for its players, so why would anyone want to no-life it
Unfortunately, the addition of failboards in effect decimated the numbers of solo queuers to the extent the que either isn’t popping at all (whilst team que popps rather fast), or it teams you up with beginners vs tryhard premade (refer to my latest screenshot in the ‘Stop matchmaking from grouping r1s’ thread for reference). What bothers me most about this isn’t the losing, but the waste fo time (no resign) and the inability to do anything about giving away free rating due to fail matchmaking.
