In light of the current state of the game, the direction that balance team has taken, I believe that some changes happened last year, should be partially reverted.

The reasoning behind those changes..doesn’t apply any longer. I can begrudgingly say that the devs had sound reasons to nerf ride the lightning at the time, it was a harsh nerf..but nevertheless necessary, with that said looking at what druid can do at the moment, does the reasoning behind RTL nerf still stand?

I mean, I get it- given the hybrid nature of ele, it’s clear that the profession shouldn’t be faster than the rest…..but not that much slower either.

At the moment, only reaper is slower than ele and maybe dragon hunter if they can’t manage to chain their teleports in a profitable way, given its hybrid nature the ele should sit somehow midway among professions in terms of mobility.

I’m not asking for a full reset of the nerf, that would be unreasonable but…it’s time to lift some of the penalties eles have collected all these years.

Bring RTL down to 15 sec. It doesn’t evade, it doesn’t heal, and it doesn’t damage particularly well.
Ele needs more active skills…

A 15s Cd maybe would be too much but yeah…you don’t evade or heal while using RTL, the dmg is mediocre but you still move too slow to hit anything farther than melee range

I don’t know, a druid can use ancestral grace twice every ~15s (depending on weapon swapping) if they spec for it, and they can do quite reasonable damage from 1200 range while they do, with more armour and HP than an ele to boot.

All other things being equal, I could see a 15sec RTL helping the viability of s/d specs quite a bit.

The old nerfs, certainly needed at the time, now make RTL and off-hand dagger as a whole look so weak in comparison.
The changes happened during a time when crazy mobility was rare and not a given especially not with bunkers builds. That has changed completely over the years…

We need a buff to mobility which could be done by reverting RTL changes as well as cooldown reductions to most of the defensive elementalist skills if we ever want to see offensive elementalist become a thing again.
