i’ve seen 50k mauls before though. big numbers are always fun.

This was done by a thief(me) without help, against another thief. anything about about 30K you have to have help for.

even with 25 might stacks a thief should not do a 26k backstab

this has to be a bug

Um others swear they hit much higher than 26k stabs so I would assume this is about right. I used to do this crap with s/p, signet stacking to instant kill with a pistol whip. Not a huge deal, it’s fun for kittening off people in hotjoin but nothing more.

you can make a build to make any hard hitting skill look OP,

make a signet+maul ranger build and pop it once every minute for a 1 shot only from behind, only after an interrupt, only at full endurance, does it make maul OP?
nope it makes the build useless except once a minute.

backstab is fine, but kudos on the big number XD

spvp has other rules like lower critdmg and no buff food and no wxp buffs and whatever

no it should not be possible in spvp to hit someone with 1 hit for 26k even when it is backstab

How the heck is possible to do such high kitten dmg in spvp ? I think i have never seen more than 11k damage with a single shot, and i think it was an eviscerate on my glassy mesmer.
Higher backstab i have seen in pvp in last months wasnt even 10k.

The target had no armour/amulet but covered that by wearing the costume and you attacked from behind.

All he said ^, but instead of revealed training i vote for Improvisation trait, that gives 10% more dmg after you steal

Doesnt improvisation only give the damage bonus to bundles you use?
And in the image he still seems to be holding the feathers from stealing off the thief (not that they do damage anyway) and anyway if it was a bundle then he couldnt do a backstab while holding it.

I think the trait referrs to having a stolen item not yet used, otherwise it makes no sense…. it might be bugged anyway… or might also be a nonsense trait, that wouldnt surprise me too much..

The improvisation trait +10% damage is known to be bugged and not working properly currently it gives 0% damage. Those op thieves and their bugs man.

If rangers can, thieves can too. Embrace it, get inspired by it and go do it!

The 12k Clusterbomb makes me more worried then anything else…

I don’t play wvw, just spvp. I personally am not surprised by this, i have hit 20k+ killshots in spvp so it seems about right.

nope. Partially right, but you have to name all the traits etc.

Sorry thiefy but even though you hit 26k backstab and 4k with air sigil on a downed body, the ranger beat you. No contest.

He had 25 stacks of bloodlust, I did not. I should have used bloodlust
