Anet matchmaking
It’s not going to change. The matchmaking is crap and will continue to be crap.
i never experienced a 30 game lose streak EVER. It’s fairly well balance better now then it was a year ago. Back then it was horrible.
Yo, Ho, thieves and beggars, never shall we die
I played all 3 seasons and in all seasons I made it legendary division and if I shall judge the matchmaking according the number of blow out matches then this is far far the worst season.
This season is garbage. Nothing except massive 500-100 blowouts. Fighting almost full premades with randoms. I just need 4 more kittening wins to never play this worthless garbage ever again.

Until the next league reward is implemented, in the following league =P
No, no, my friend. I’m never doing this ever again. I don’t even know what psychological disease made me desire Ascension in the first place. Heck, when the first season came up, I didn’t even want it. Then, I try harded for one single week before the end of Season 2, managed to wipe out so many cheevos at once I thought, “might as well finish it”.
But no. As of right now, it is finally over. My torture has ended. It is done. I can now return to Overwatch, Dead by Daylight and Evolve without a care in the world. I’ve finished what I started. I am free.

My sentiments exactly, pvp has become the most unfun it has ever been. Totally opposite of what it’s supposed to be.

If it was becoming that bad for you, then that’s a wise decision. I wouldn’t recommend anyone force theirself to endure something in a video game, that is causing them anger/frustation and no enjoyment, just for a shiny in-game graphic. It’s really not worth it when you put it into perspective. We all have far more important things to worry about in the real world anyway

Another issue with matchmaking is that allows friends to queue together in ranked even with mmr as different as it could be. There are lots of such minor flaws in the system. Class stacking, balancing, mixing pugs with teams, bugs, afk ppl – you name it. In sum the whole pvp is unpredictable → not fair → often no fun when you queue solo.
Lol and just as prove. My group 2 teams and me with players as low as ruby. Opponent team all legendary. Result: outnumbered in every fight because of a bad start. GG match making.
I’m very glad I only need to hit Ruby next season, I’m just hoping that my current matchmaking doesn’t continue into season 4. Winning multiple 1v3’s per game only to end up losing the match just isn’t enjoyable at all.
Would love to see some videos of you winning 3v1 all match and still losing. I’m sure it would help Anet as well to see what caused a match that places someone that is clearly head and shoulders above anyone on the map with a team that couldn’t hold one out of 2 points playing 4v2.

You can thank merging Solo and Team Q for that. If they were separate, this wouldn’t be a problem.
I suggest we seperate solo and party matchmaking Q. Different ladder and division for each solo and team. Ban 4 man queue for the team matchmaking. While only showing the player solo division icon on the side of player name. Or put it an in-game optional option.
While we’re at it. Only allow daily to be completed within unranked queue only. Remove any ranked participation dailys.
If possible, add a pause feature

Anet said they removed the seperate queues to decrease queue times, so who knows if they’d put them back in again.
We were discussing ideas in another thread about how to keep a solo q and team q both alive. The best suggestion was to have seperate rewards for each queue, with team q having a better reward than solo, to incentivize people to queue up for it.
This way, solo players have fair matches and can work towards a reward and team players can have fair, competitive matches instead of roflstomping solo players, with a reward to work towards too.
Unranked Match-Making is great. Work your MMR a bit, till ranked queue will get dead.
You will see by yourself.
Ranked queue is trash and simply “give more chances” to some and “less chances” to others. Nothing about great closed matches with competitives/competent players in all “slot” of your or other team.
Why? All competent players stop playing ranked queue a while ago. Ranked is not serious pvp or for competing… it’s another carrot to grind for Pver.

Ranked matchmaking is complete garbage. My local tip has better matchmaking – at least there you have to group all the different types of trash into the right recycling bin.
Nothing but streaks one way or another, neither is fun. I can probably count on one hand the number of non blowout games I’ve had all season.
If anet cared then they would have no alternative but to delete all the crappy code for the ranked league, the matchmaking and the seasons and start from scratch…when the games are basically you in full ascended killing mobs in snowden fields if you’re on a win streak or you on a fresh alt trying to solo tequatl. if you happen to be on a losing streak…it’s that messed up. Good luck convincing anet to do anything before the spvp playerbase completely abandons the game though.
Unranked is just as bad, but the 50/50 is every other game instead of 10wins/10losses. That said, I’ve had more close games in unranked, not by virtue of higher levels of gameplay but because both teams keep throwing leads.

My unranked matches have all been non competitive. I haven’t played it much, but I have easily winning matches on test builds and classes I haven’t played before. Most of the unranked matches we end up spawn camping the other team. Both systems can produce mismatches, but the ranked matches have been a much higher quality fort me.
I quit this game before the start of this season after I read the patch note on match making in ranked. Anet seem to not understand the most basic concept of pvp match making-FAIR chance of winning.
It’s not really rocket science to try to make matches that give the participants as fair a chance at winning as possible. While I realize you can never perfectly balance 2 teams but at the very least you shouldn’t START by stacking the odds against one side.
Another basic concept of pvp match making is to match players of similar skill with each other. Once again it’s really not rocket science , imaging if they put a major league pitcher into a high school team. How is that fun for anyone? Yet in gw2 we have just that, people who are in pro league are forced to farm casuals for days at the start of every season.
GW2 have great classes, interesting combat and over all good pvp. But until match making is fixed there is really no point playing it.
