i disconnected because power went down , came back to the match after 2and a half minutes , managed to win the match but somehow i got a desertion and lost a pip too .
can someone please explain why?

Its part of what was implemented this season. Regardless of win or loss, if you get tagged as a leaver (which I think is a 60s timer?) you lose a pip.

ty . that’s really a dumb thing to do

dishonour requires 2 minute of disconnect as of the last time an anet dev confirmed anything, they had upped it from 60s as it was too short for some people. if you’re disconnected for 2.5 minutes though then even if its not your fault you have still ultimately caused your team to lose so should lose a pip.

It is, and it is not. It is a compromise for those that would attempt to abuse the system. Due to how long you were gone, had the game resulted in a loss for your team, they wouldn’t have lost pips. Without this…deterrent… there would be those that exploit this feature. “x is the designated dc if we start losing, this way none of us lose pips.”
