My guess would be no.
If Anet wanted warriors to not suck in a timely manner they would have threw in a few quick fixes for the class in the same patch as the quickness nerf. By not they haven’t even acknowledged that there is a problem with the class. So of course it’ll take time for the devs to realize that a problem exists and start posting about a ‘massive warrior patch coming soon’… which, if the past holds any relevance to the future, will inevitably be inexplicably delayed 2, 3, 4 months and then in the end be just an underwater combat and signets buff.
In all seriousness though there will probably be a small buff for the class next patch, or everyone else will get nerfed, and more small, small buffs to come, to the point warriors are just decent in 2, 3 months time.
I wouldn’t put any hopes on an extremely competitive class in the near future though.

If only it was as simple as pulling out a hammer and mashing one. Rifle warriors? lol yeah right. Only time you could get the f1 off is when they’re not looking or is just plain bad. Plus, it could easily get obstructed, not just the burst ability but the rest of the skills. Anything is good with guard on point cause they’re working they’re kitten off trying to keep both you and them alive.

silent you are right and wrong. there ARE some viable builds left for wars. however lots of the things wrong with warriors prevent a lot of people from doing well with them. like the way melee wars get the kitten kited out of them and the fact that we have such kittening pitiful condi anything tht rolls condi can prolly kill us. the point is whatever VIABLE builds we have left, chances are another class does the same role but better because of the general problems the war has right now in pvp

I’ve played 3k matches and won 2k. I’m not so serious about my hot joins that I put on my try hard pants every morning and go full support guard

Lukrath – of course you get kitted in melee so does every other melee class that is why you have a ranged slot and of the melee classes you guys are prolly the best off you can tie people down with hammer or one shot them with 1k blades if you hit them.

He said “Overall Wins” which has nothing to do with Ratings or his real rank. He’s able to log into the leaderboards and sort by Wins which is something the internet doesn’t have crawlers becuase it’s meaningless.
Back to the original topic I think Warriors are in a poor place but it’s not because of their damage output. Longbow, Rifle, and GS all do great damage. You can run into and Hotjoin and WvWvW and merc all sorts of noobs and PvE’rs. What it really comes down to is their survivability and mobility. It’s simply too easy to kill a warrior and avoid/mitigate their damage in high level play. The heavy armor they wear isn’t heavy enough. But how can you increase the Heavy Armor rating without turning Guardians into God mode? How do you give Warriors mobility and escape ability and keep their burst high without making Thieves obsolete?
I took your advice an played some matches in tpvp on war I never seemed to score really high but went 4-2 solo queing the pics are of one win and one loss. Each match I tried a diff weapon set and skills so I was playing with little to no knowledge of the class and no muscle memory. The only one on one I really got into was with a thief and he just owned me but i mean its a thief. I feel they really shine in group scenarios and if i was skilled at war solo as well.
We all know how reliable rating is when you have players at the top with 21/6 12/2 and 7/4 I don’t have a high win % cause i actually pvp I don’t care if my guild mates are on or not. For a while I did and was around 65-70% but when I read they are going to add real player ranks for solo quers soon I choose to get my titles with the classes i don’t plan to play while it doesn’t matter.

Skill can take you decently far in this game.
But only so far.
Warriors are just subpar in every way when it comes to TPvP.
If you ever get into higher up premades they will not cut it.

Just know…
No top premade runs a warrior.
No one in the top 50 of the leaderboard plays a warrior.
No one i have ever premaded with thinks warriors are in a good place.
The vast majority of the community feels this way.
You should reconsider your opinion and try out some of the top tier specs if you seriously feel warriors are comparable to all the other classes because I’m sure anyone who has ever played a warrior competitively and is reading this would want to slap you for the faint faint chance that a dev will read this, take you seriously, and put off a potential buff.
I play warrior a lot and while it’s not “awful” it does feel like hardmode pvp against players of the same skill level, the class is playable but it isn’t up to par with most other classes. Condi warriors improved with the last patch, but just aren’t quite there yet. Truth is, a necro, ranger or engi will do significantly better job on condis so why would u run a condi warrior?
Rifle should the be the high ranged direct dmg weapon for warriors but kill shot just doesn’t work for pvp, it’s too slow and obvious while brutal shot is just useless. It’s very hard to play pure melee weapons in pvp as even with good gap closers some classes have too many tools to keep range on you and wear you down while kiting. You tend to be forced into GS and S for mobility, otherwise your survivability drops even further. Then you’re forced into LB because rifle is so bad, that’s why GS/LB is the only semi viable build atm. Warriors have a large health pool but far too mediocre self healing and awful condi removal. Their traits are a mess, the discipline line has a useless class trait, which is pretty lol this late in the game. Shouts are UP, as are signets. Banners are nice but suit a support/bunker role better they’re bad for roaming, and due to lack of self healing/buffs/better defensives skills on more resonable cd a bunker warrior isn’t really viable. It’s worse than a guardian by a long shot in the same role. Overall the class does need a buff, butter tuning and just a lot of fixes.
Experts agree that warriors will suck In tpvp with no end In sight. Then again, when you rolled a warrior you didn’t really plan on pvping with him or doing serious Pve dungeons right? *cof
I’ve been running Axe/Shield with Sword/Warhorn, it has good DPS with the ability to chase and escape. The problem it, I feel forced to run runes Lyssa with Signet of Stamina to combat conditions but I’m starting to feel the cut in DPS cause I can’t use Scholar or Ogre .
I would much prefer running damage based runes but then I feel I would be better off just removing Signet of Stamina and just praying that I kill the target fast enough that the conditions can’t destroy me first. The only real big plus that this build has is that Shield Bash with Unsuspecting Blow makes Eviscerate 100% crit chance. Also, Sigil of Palatalization makes shield bash last much longer than just 15%.
I still don’t feel confident roaming alone, I only feel like any use in team fights when I’m not being focused on and even then a mesmer would probably be better fit for the job.

I play mes/ranger mostly and when I go from ranger to mes its hard mode my rotation is crazy and continual where as rangers is pretty normal but aside from that In order to score high on mes my team has to control mid so i can port back and forth and stay in combat I think war has to be played the same way they have high in and out of combat mobility depending on wep set and high powered skills so to be effective you need a bunker in mid and 1 other point and have to rush between them. This is pretty much what I stated above but in more detail about you have to play it like a mesmer. This play style is completely diff from say thief and ranger where as you have a good chance to win a one on one but will be melted in group scenarios if your in the heat of things. I hope this helps you guys.

Honestly man since release all I played was mes now that I have tried other classes I will never play it again after i get my title just because the rotation is to much I can play another class and have a much less stressful time playing but your right mes might be a lil better but if your team wants to focus and burn a war can tie people down no problem something a mes can’t do.

Dont worry, Anet in keeping with current game design will proceed to increase our bow and rifle damage and make us a proper ranged class.

You can have some of the best dodge rolling on a warrior, just so you know.
The 15 point ‘gain endurance on burst skill’ gives a full dodge roll. You can weapon swap dodge roll every 5s and to boot the signet that fully cleanses gives a bonus 50% endurance regen as its passive.
The only part I see really lacking is a bit of imob hate or something like making endure pain at 50% as a 5/10 point defense trait along with better mobility on the one handers other than sword, along with probably a lil more when it comes to specific hard hitting attacks on the one handers especially sword…
I can take my warrior into some solo tournies right now and do pretty well. In fact, they are a good class. But once you get into the higher level team play, whilst still good and viable, the warrior starts to show signs of real weakness.

When I am smashing around on my condition thief, any warrior build is pretty much a free kill. Condition removal has been a warrior problem for quite some time. And if you really want to control conditions, you have to give up a lot of power and useful traits in order to do so. Again, the same story with warrior over and over again.
The problem here is that warrior is below average and people don’t want to admit that.
Listen, you can do “alright” as a warrior. If you are carried, you can be doing “ok”. But compare warrior to any other class and it just fails. hard.
Warrior is the equivalent to a higher hp PVE mob in spvp. Its a joke, and should be treated as such. I can’t remember the last time where if I came in with an outside shot in spvp the warrior didn’t die. Easy to chase, easy to cc, incredibly vulnerable to conditions, and not really that great at taking damage comparison wise.

- I usually got 1st or 2nd place in every match i play as a warrior, but that is because i can tag many kills with longbow f1 and skill nº 3.
The problem is that you can´t say if a class is ok because you got a decent amount of points in the end of the match. You probably wont get any win defending or capping locations with at least one enemy there if your team mates dont carry you. Other professions can do it easely without backup (agains warriors and others less UP classes of course).
Almost every people on the forums will tell you that warriors are free kills.
You have been playing with great warriors that strugle to be some kind of efective, but other classes can do the same and even better without being great players. That is a huge diference on a profession you choose.

It is pretty much the same way on my mes man I just go to mid and hope others do aswell and if two many go mid i peel off to an outer point cap it then port back to mid. I only score high if there is a constant fight in mid unlike my ranger where I am top score most of the time.

Edit 2: you also have to keep in mind warr is the chosen noob class often, my first toon in wow was a warrior I’m sure its the same with kids now. Who doesn’t want to be a warrior lol but I think the class takes allot more than people expect for a basic class because its dps without stealth and they have a hard time handling it outside the holy trinity.
